PeachButt69 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) I tried to install BHUNP and I thought it would be a good idea to reinstall Bodyslide to fix something, but it only broke it for me. I've been tryign to fix this for 3 hours and I'M AT MY WIT'S END. 1. I have the game data path as it should be, "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\" 2. I've never changed my staging folder or downloads folder, and yet I can't get bodyslide or vortex to recognize the body slide data I've downloaded. 3. The morphs and body mods don't even show up in the data files which confuse me because they're in the same folder as the other mods shown in the data files. I tried to have both BHUNP and CBBE enabled so that Bodyslide can recognized SOMETHING but the deployment keeps getting interrupted because they're incompatible. But I've also been told I need to have CBBE enabled so that I can use BHUNP. I'm going insane over this and I can't fix this probl;em no matter how many "tutorials" I read or watch (which almost all of them use MO2 which is useless to me since I use Vortex, and no I'm not switching) Edited July 11, 2024 by PeachButt69
anjenthedog Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) possibly has something to do with the game data path, although I can't be sure. I chose to allow installation to default pathing and have never experienced a similar problem, except once when once I accidentally overwrote the data path with a dummy output path I was using to populate a custom follower's meshes (forgot to select the advanced tab to set that output path... doh!) I've seen a lot of problems over the past 5 years, posted by people who fiddle with game folder locations, some for valid reasons, many for obsolete, antiquated notions of how to partition data. so it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was involved. Is there a way for me to do a clean reinstall of Bodyslide as if I've never downloaded it before? I've tried to reinstall it through vortex but it doesn't change anything. I'm actually on the verge of giving up. Modding was fun for me until this happened. Edited July 11, 2024 by PeachButt69
t.ara Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 hi, i´would delete the unp body and go for cbbe-smp (caliente) for this start. Check if you use all the correct versions for sse and install the skin/body´s default content as the guides are describing. If then caliente´s body is showing up fine and if the game is working, you can do a next step to find that special body act into your gameplay. But UNP needs another texture so far it is a correct body for an unp body version and cbbe skin won´t suit then. Check the skeleton-mod and check also the mods, which are physics-related for their suiting versions for sse as well. And if you say like...i´m on the way to give up "...this won´t have any further influence on helping you out of such situation...at the end of day you need to solve the problems all alone on your side at home in front of the computer-with more or less knowledge....!
PeachButt69 Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 Holy shit, I don't know how to explain it but changed directories for which bodyslide exe to launch and it works now.

Find where your files are actually stored and played from. Put that location into the Game Data Path box and try again. For instance, my Game Data Path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\ For reinstalling Bodyslide&OutfitStudio, tbh, I'm not sure. I have updated it a few times over the years, but not any time recently. Bodyslide IS a standlaone app (doesn't actually get called from Skyrim only from desktop), so I'd think that there should be a way of doing so, although I'm not sure how that might affect existing content. I'd ask at the Bodyslide & OutfitStudio web page if I were you. Edited July 11, 2024 by anjenthedog
Guest Posted March 22, 2025 Posted March 22, 2025 Hi!, Im having same issue. I believe problem is that bodyslide game path is not the same in which TAWOBA and the like is placed since Vortex has a staging of mods. Tried deploying or acrually playing the game once to check if vortex moved the modes to the gamefolder, but didnt. Anyone has a solution for this? (assuming this is the actual problem... which I'm not 100% sure) (I used to have no problem before upgrading Vortex to last version).

hypernerdman Posted March 23, 2025 Posted March 23, 2025 Once I had BodySlide installed on vortex, as shown. I re-installed CBBE in Vortex and everything showed up.
