Sextreme Statues (Update 22-08-2024)

View File

Sextreme Statues

Starfield Edition

Description

This mods ads a variety of statues to the Decoration Panel in you Ship, Home or Outpost (Interior). They come with theyr own custom menu (currently has issues, see Curent issues bellow) to help you find the one you want. Each status comes in 4 different materials and a mirrored version for each material. Curently there are 4 unique statues so that results in 32 different statues to choose from.

Collision Meshes

All the statues have collition meshes from a vanilla obgect so you can't walk through them. I tryed to pick one as tight as possible but for some statues some legs or arms might stick out. So if you are hidimg behind them during a shoot out remember to duck, the upper half of the head is not covered. And no you can't shoot between the statues legs. Yet.

Different Materials

All statues come in 4 different materials with their own menu: (currently does not work, see the curent issues part)

Marble White Gold

Marble White Blue

Marble Black

Gold

All of them require 2 pieces of Copper and one Structual object to make, except the Gold, that requires Gold. Obviously.

The textures and the materials might change in the future. The initial idea was that each material would have its own requirements, but I could'nt find any materials suitable for 4 different types of marble, hence the copper. I am also not super delighted woth the Gold one and I think that the Marble Black one might be a bit too black. We will play around with them a while and we will see.

Mirrored Versions

All the statues have a mirrored version. You can find them in the categories with the Mr suffix (at least that part works.)

The name of mirrored statues have the same name with the 'norma' one plus the 'Mr' at the end.

Install Instructions:

It is best if you download the mod and install it with a mod manager.

If you want to install it manually simply extract the file in you data folder. You will also need to enable it in your loading list ingame in the creations manu.

Current Issues:

Spoiler

Collision Meshes

The plan was obviously to have custom collision meshes for each unique statue. Unfortunately the tools used to make mods as well as the CK currently do not support custom collision. Once they do, I will update all the statues with their unique custom collision. I do not expect that to cause any trouble or the need to re-position any of them. Until then, we'll have to wait.

Custom Materials Menu.

To put it lightly, the menu is screwed. The way it was supposed to be working was that each menu would have the name of the material of the statues in it and the mirrored ones would have the same name with the Mr suffix (that part works, but not why you think it does.). The way it actually works is instead of taking the name from where they are supposed to ( I will not get technical) they take the name of the first statue in their list. I have looked around, I have talked to some people and the only conclution that everyone has cope up with so far, is that this is a CK Bug. So until the bug is fixed, or I find out what I am doing wrong we will have to make due with the wacky menu.

Permisions:

You can download and use this mod for your game. You do not have permision to reupload this mod ANYWARE , in part, as a whole, or edited !

Yes.

Quite a few for my own mod and quite a few for other mods by request.

I have also made a Sextreme Statues mod for The sims 4 but that one useses TS4 assets, unlike this one, or the one for Skyrim.

It is a popular franchise 🙂  🙂

At least I am hoping it will be.

It was actually within a mod that I saw her statues - in The Sisterwood of Dibella mod. I have a vague idea that I saw them somewhere else, but I can no longer pinpoint where.

I was always amazed at the level of detail you put into these statues. It's really good work.

Would it be possible to add mannequin code to these? I'd quite like to place a couple of these and then dress them up in something skimpy :)

Yea I thought about doing that when I started them but it is waaaaaay easier said than done.

For starters these are static objects. They don't have rigs nor waights. Well they do when I make them but then they are removed, and it is not the Starfield's rig. So I would have to add to them the starfiel rig and weights (wich is doable I assume).

But when it comes to making them act like mannequins there is an easier way to do it.

Instead of making the statues act like mannequins, it be easier to make the mannequins look like the statues.

However,

Mennequins in Starfield (as was in Skyrim, don't know if Fallout series had any) are actually NPCs (remember the Mannequins coming to life issue in Skyrim?).

In Starfield (as was in Skyrim) the body the Player and NPCs are using is actually defined by the outfit. If you have the defaullt body, a naked female nps/mannequin/player will look like the default man-female hybrid Bethesda calls "Female Body". But when you equip one of KZs' awsome spacesuits or outfits (I assume those are the ones you want to equip 😉) that were designed on the CRT or VBB body, then npc/mannequin/player will be "using" that body. You are not actually switching bodys, but the outfit was designed on that body so you get that CRT or VBB bodytype.

Or at least thats how I think it all works.

So I quess it is doable but not by making the statues act like mannequins but by making the mannequins look like the statues. The only difference between the mannequins and normall NPCs/Player, is that the mannequind usees shitier body meshes and a different Texture.

When a good body type for Starfield comes out (something like UNP or CBBE) we can use that to replace the mannequins body, add some statue looking textures and we are golden. Cus then, most outfits will also be designed using those bodies so there won't be the equiped outfit different body issue.

So, Mannequin-Statues: Doable, but not yet.

Fair 'nuff. Just thought I'd ask. I can see me finding uses for these, either way :)

Having a small issue with the mod:

1. They only show up in the Decoration Panel in my ship - they don't appear anywhere I can find in my Outpost Builder

2. Statues 3 and 4 don't seem to show up at all - I get error messages if the system thinks they are floating, or intersecting with something else, but I can't actually see them at all. This goes for all material and orientation options for these statues. Statues 1 and 2 show up and can be placed no problem in my ship.

Installed with Vortex, double checked to ensure that the files are in the correct directory, and activated in the plugins.txt file.

Any idea what might be causing the issue?

Here is a copy of my plugins file.

Plugins.txt ?

Why did you put them there?

You don't need to activate the mod in plugins txt. That was for the old mods before CK.

Just install it with vortex, open you game and in the creations loading order you should be able to see the .esm enabled. If one of the statues work the other should too. They all have the same collision curently so if you can place one at a spot you should be able to place the others.

I have also tested the .esm and can verify it works in both the ship and home.

When it comes to the outpost, the statues are not available in the Build mode. You have to place a hab, place the decorations panel in that hub, and loook for the statues in That panel. Not the outpost beacon.

Because this is the location that was created when I updated to the newest version of the game.

I do not have the Plugins Enabler mod even downloaded, let alone installed, so this is what the game created when I started installing mods

I've heard rumours of some mysterious Creation Content folder, but I've never seen any such creature.

In fact, the Creation Club button in the main menu of the game doesn't work - it just stays stuck on an endless loading screen

my Vortex is up to date

Right, The game does create a Plugins.txt file with your load order.

but if your creation menu is stuck, maybe that is causibg the issues.

Try doing this to fix it:

I think that there are some other solutions you can look into too since I suspect that the stuck creation menu may have something to do with the mods not loading correctly.

I even completely reinstalled Starfield from scratch in case I had some orphaned file interfering with this one. I can't see these statues in my decorations menu in the outpost or the Lodge (there's a button in the basement hallway that lets you build stuff). Not sure why it's not working for me.

I'm re-reading things. What is the "decoration panel"? You say in one of the comments that it's not in the build menu. Now I'm totally confused.

Nevermind -- I figured it out. It IS in the build menu, but you have to keep toggling through the build screens until you see the Sextreme Statues screen. It's NOT in the decorations screen. Saying "decoration panel" is incorrect.

Glad you found it.

The statues menu can be found in the yellow panel you have in your ship and home (and can place in an outpost hub) that says "Decorate" when you try to activate it.

Thus, Decoration panel? :) :)

You can also easily access it when you are in your house or ship simply by opening your scanner (F) and pressing R (Decorate).

I use a controller,  so keyboard keys aren't obvious to me.

If you open your scanner in your home, at the bottom of the screen you will see wich button to press for the decoration menu to come up.

This is what I've been getting at this whole time. I'm using full-screen screenshots so you can see there aren't keyboard buttons to press when you're using a controller. Maybe now you'll understand my confusion with the instructions as written.

When you're in build mode and you view the "decorate" panel, sextreme statues aren't there. NOTHING at the bottom says "decorate".

When I'm in the Lodge and I'm on a ship and I press the "build" button available in both places. However, at an outpost, even when I've built a hab and try the build menu inside the hab, the "sextreme statues" panel isn't available. And the hab doesn't have build button on the wall that I can see.

What you have to do is move through the panels until you see a panel called "sextreme statues".

Maybe everything is different when you're using mouse and keyboard, but if you're using a controller, what I'm demonstrating here is what I experience.

That is the Decorations Panel that he is referring to.

That whole thing is the Decorations Panel.

When you open your scanner in your ship, pressing the 'X' key opens the 'Decorate' mode (I use a controller as well)

When you are in 'Build' mode in an Outpost, you can place a 'Decorate' panel inside a hab. Activating this panel outside of 'Build' mode, allows you to access 'Decorations', including the statues.

As far as what button to push to activate things? The game tells you on screen what button to push to activate things, doesn't matter if you are playing mouse+keyboard, or controller. The game recognizes what you have connected and shows you appropriate control functions.

I'm in build mode and scrolled through everything. I don't see anything called Decoration panel in the Build menu. I even tried searching online. There is literally nothing that instructs "how to place a decoration panel in an outpost hab".

I have StarUI inventory, workbench, and ship builder installed, those shouldn't interact with this mod. I hope.

OK -- not ideal. I found out a console command to create a decoration panel. I don't know why I couldn't find it in my build menu, but at least there's a workaround.

Ok,

Let me explain

In your ship, home and outpost, This is the panel you need to look for:

20240727141116_1.jpg

20240727141123_1.jpg

When you activate that panel this is the menu you get:

20240727141141_1.jpg

As you can see, the Sextreme statues have their own main category and are not in the decorations menu. When selecting the Sextreme Statues you get this menu:

20240727141222_1.jpg

Now, this sub menu is wrong. It is suppost to have the titles of the statues materials, like Marble White Gold, Gold etc, but it is not working. I have done everything right in the CK (as far as I know) but is is not working as it should.

In you images the main difference is that those main categories are horizontal instead of vertical as they are for me. That is because I use The SkyUI mod for outpost. You still have the same 6 categories though.

Now lets get to the scanner part.

If you open your scanner inside your ship or your home you get this:

20240727141132_1new.jpg

Now if you press R or the button it says when you are using a controller, you will get in the Decorations menu (3rd image).

As you can see it the first image this is the panel used to Decorate your home/ship, thus "decorations" panel.

When it comes to the outpost however, things are a bit tricky. When you activate the Outpost Beacon, you go in the Build menu, not Decorations menu. I don't remember if it has a decorations category cus I haven't builded an oupost since the game launched, but I doubt it is the same as the Decoration panel menu.

Now the tricky part in outpost is that if you build a hab (still in build mode) it does Not have a Decoration Panel in it. You need to place it yourself in one of you habs while in build mode. Somewhere in build mode, there is a category (I think that one was called Dacorations or something like that) that has the panel from the 1st image in it.

You need to place that panel in one of your habs and activate it to go in the Decorations Menu, or use your scanner.

You dont need to use the console to do it. It is somewhere in the Build menu.

So in outpost, Build Mode, and Decorate mode, are two different things. Activating the outpost beacon does not give you the same categorie and items as activating the Decorate panel and vice versa.

And one final thing. Why on earth you guys are using a controller on a PC instead of mouse and keyboard, I have no idea !! :) :)  😂😂

For me, many years of Xbox use. It's what I'm used to.  Only really started playing on PC about 4-5 years ago when I was finally able to afford to build myself a decent gaming setup that would run CP2077, as well as FO4, Skyrim, and now Starfield, but that also required an upgrade to SSD and better graphics card.

It's the outpost that was the problem, and as I've said, I've literally looked at every single thing in all build categories, and none of them were the decoration panel. I had to console-code it in. That's why I was scratching my head. Even by playing a new game without any of the SkyUI mods installed, I still didn't see any decoration panels in my outpost build menu.

As for why I use a controller: it's simple. First, I'm a left-hander and I got sick and tired of remapping the keyboard with every new game because I also use a left-handed mouse.  Keyboard maps in games are made exclusively for right-handers. I adapted by using a controller. Also, movement and combat is far easier with a controller.
