Does anyone have a working mod pack they are willing to share?

Preferably one with graphics overhauls as well. but even just a base with all of the essential loverslab mods would be a huge help.
I don't know if I have the gumption to dive into making a working modlist again XD

And remember , do not install all at once !  If it doesn't work or errors occur, you don't know when you installed something wrong. Install one or two Mods and then test the game.

 

All you need before you install Lovers/LAPF. Only the basic you need for Lovers, No overhauls or graphics mods.

Oh, hey maybe you could help with one more thing for the guide. when I got past this part

 

In your game folder Bethesda/Oblivion/  you have oblivion.exe and oblivionLauncher.exe

Right click the exe - click properties

click  - compatibility

Set compatibility to: Windows XP /Service Pack 3)    You can try different modes to see which works best on your computer.

And and below set: run Program as Adiminstratior

click Apply

when I launched the game, all menu's were operable but the game was just a black screen with a hud
is that the compatibility mode messing with the graphics?

You start the game with the Oblivion exe.   (  or with the obse_loader.exe if you have a disc game version ( no steam)  )  Never with the oblivionLauncher.exe  !

 

I never had a black game with only the menus/Hud.

 

Have you tried other compatibility modes? And did it work with the original settings? (without compatibility mode and runs as Adiminstratior )

 

Remember: Test your game after each step/installation you have done.

turns out it was just the steam version of the game, not being able to handle bloom. so turning that off fixed it.
And now thanks to your guide, I am well on my way to a working game! Thank you for sending me this.
It has been hard figuring out what certain things are telling me to do. but it seems like whenever the guide tells me to do something I don't understand, I just make a bash patch and it makes everything work.. XD

My mods are all working in every way, except when I open my inventory, my character is bald.. why just in my inventory?? so weird

I have never seen such an bug.

 

Search the error:

Inventory Mod? ( Menu mod )  Disable it and try without it. ( remember do build a new Bashed Patch ! )

Race mod?  Disable it and try another race ( remember do build a new Bashed Patch ! )

Not sure if a hair Mod can do it. But never heard of hair not working in the  menu mode. But you can try a character with different hair.

I resorted to not using Oblivion remastered, since I have an AMD graphics card, and it seems to dislike that. so now that I am picking my own textures and shaders everything is going really well! I will research the penis stretching on your guide tonight.

Also an interesting thing. if you want HDR Graphics, you have to go into the vanilla shaders and delete shader 2 and then name shader 19 shader 2. otherwise you get a black screen.
Oblivion is such a strange beast XD

install the LAPF skeleton again.  Download in my guide "LAPF BBB skeletons with floating weapon fix.7z"  With skeletonSESheogorath.nif  and floating weapon fix.

 

penis stretching: A mod has overwritten the LAPF skeletons.  Clothing, animation and some race mods can have skeletons. Always unpack first and check and delete the skeletons in data\meshes\characters\_male\  and data\meshes\characters\_1stPerson.  Or don't allow them to overwrite your skeletons.  After you have installed LAPF you must always pay attention! Only the LAPF skeleton has penis and butt bones.

 

I always unpack mods first. I clean the esp and translate vanilla names into my native language with TES4Edit,  rename voice folders (They have to be in the language of your game or you won't hear mod dialogs)  and I check the meshes folders if there are skeletons and other vanilla replacer I don't like and want.

Then I create a OMod or pack the  cleaned Mod, so that I never have to do the work again.

 

HDR:  I always paly with HDR, never Bloom, for the far view Mods. I have never had to change the shaders. (currently I have changed shaders, but that had other reasons.  But something may have changed. In 2019 I still played with 100% vanilla shaders )

all seems to be working now, but only on a fresh save. time to run the intro again, and see if anything else will break XD

Also, do you know of any Really big adventure mods? (preferably lovers mods) with lots of story and new dungeons/maps

SOMETHING INTERESTING.  after doing all the steps the stretching was still happening with all human races. but then I tried reinstalling LAPF and then DID NOT make a wyre batch patch. and that ended up fixiing the stretching. so I guess from now on. if I add mods that need to be bash patched, I also need to reinstall LAPF after the bash. interesting

DarkBloodLine galgatTweaked !!!  a lot of vanilla places are changed = conflict with other Mods that use the same locations. and not compatible with Lovers True Crime

All other mods in the "Quests and Adventures" section are no quest mods or only mico quests.

 

My favorite Lovers mods: Bravil Underground. Lovers Bitch, LoversCrowningIsle   and the LoversSituations Mods

!!!! Tip LoversCrowningIsle: get a Lovers Bitch player dog out of his kennel and tell the Dog "wait here". The dog will stay in the Chorrol dog shop and you go to CrowningIsle. If you don't do it the crowning dogs get crazy and attack NPCs and players  If you don't have LoversBitch no problem in CrowningIsle with dogs )

ElsweyrAnequina ( the land Elsweyr with many Quests) 

DibellasWatch with  Västhelm Expansion (new world with main quest and side quests )

Orden des Drachen/Order of the Dragon (new world. quest starts after you finished the vanilla main quest. Best Mod ever, many hours of playtime, main quest starts in Tamriel some hours, then the new world (many hours)  and back to tamriel and again some hours.  Side quests )

 

Other good quest mods

#Farm House with Secrets ( new world/Islands )

#Floranius  ( not sure if there is a english version. Original is german with voice files )

#GwedenBrothel  NO Lovers Mod, no sex animations ! (many small quests to get women for your brothels. Many of the quests start after vanilla quests. The quest starts after the Anil quest "The Siren's Deception" the farm house is your first brothel e.g. you must do the arena quest to meet the arena girl. or close Oblivion gates to meet a dremora girl, finish the Oblivion main quest to get the Brothel in the Imperial City . . .  So no mod that you play through from start to finish in one go. You will find about 6 girls without quests, then more will appear during the vanilla game.  Also some side quests like Leyaviin "Whom Gods Annoy" ,  Rosentia Gallenus the women with the scamps )

#LostSpires (Archaeologists Guide. Like the vanilla guilds from Novice to Master )

#Nascosto Isles 3 (new world.  few quests, mainly to get a player house)

#Tantrivaylia ( !!! in the list of "Mods that are not compatible with Lovers" but I never had problem with Lovers. If you use Lovers Joburg set all setting to low/off during the main quest. But that is a problem you have with many Mods, if a NPC starts a scripted conversation once , but Lovers Joburg stalking kicks in, the script is broken the the quest dialogue never starts )
