Just Business - Conflicts with other mods?

Came back after a long hiatus. Doing a raider play-through with a fresh (downgraded FO4) Vortex install. I used Just Business years ago with old games, but it no longer seems to work properly. After I activate hunter mode and subdue a target, the option to turn them into a slave is not avialable via dialogue (they're stuck in a disabled state). When I place the cursor over the target, there's just... nothing there (neither am I seeing any slave collars in my inventory).

Sorry, wasn't able to find a similar troublehsooting in search here. Any ideas what might be suppressing or conflicting? Thanks.

Ongoing bugs/conflicts

There are no slave collars meant to be in your inventory - they get applied automatically.

 

Also, are you seeing one or two (or none) "Talk" options when you approach in their downed state?

 

If you want a refresher, this is an excellent article on how to capture slaves.

 

Anyway, it's been a couple of months since I played Fallout, but everything was working right before.  Have you checked FO4Edit to look for a conflict?

I'm seeing just one talk option [R] which doesn't do anything - I believe its based on the 'Additional Dialogs Mode' which I turned to default on. The standard [E] interaction is missing which is how I'd normally convert a downed target into a slave.

Thanks for the link - I actually have it bookmarked. Applying the FO4Edit filter to check Just Business conflicts flagged literally several dozen reds, which didn't seem very useful for narrowing down the problem?

Ok, so now a different bug. When I adjust a slave's appearance, after saving changes, the slave turns invisible/no longer renders. Adding or removing clothing back to them does not solve the problem. Something related to LooksMenu or LooksMirror perhaps?

EDIT: Slave/face texture appears properly after a full reload. A bit wonky, but can live with it.

I thought u can only do that with unique marked NPCs? Hence the hunt for mods that generate unique NPCs?

Eventually your NPC should become disfigured if she is not unique but changed with SLM. It happens even to some unqiues

Use the reset slave command in the info dialog as soon as it happens hopefully before they become invisible, then wait a second they will reappear.
