I'd like to know your NVSE version (FYI I currently use NVSE 6.3.5b)

When patching older mods, I try to keep them compatible with NVSE 5.1b4 or HIGHER.
The problem is that this sometimes adds complexity, and some things are just impossible to achieve without the features offered by the new NVSE versions and additional plugins (JIP, Show-off NVSE, JohnnyGuitar etc).

I really want to give up this insistence on maintaining compatibility with NVSE 5.1b4. This survey will surely confirm it.

When dborg will be done with MPO 3.0 (Code base is mostly done ages ago, now only meshes is required), we'll most likely drop support of nvse 5 for SCR, as MPO is already relying on things that is possibly broken or not exist in old nvse and jip. It's just really hard to keep tracking which version supports what, because wiki mentions versions mostly for nvse/xnvse, but not the extra plugins.

I totally agree with you.

My only way to ensure compatibility with NVSE X.X.X or Plugin Y.Y.Y is to test the mod under NVSE X.X.X and Plugin Y.Y.Y.
Resaving all scripts one by one using older versions of NSVE/Plugins can help, It's a good indicator of compatibility but not 100% reliable.

there is not reason to support older nvse versions, i can't think of a single reason to not update nvse from the user perspective
