it got fixed here, probably it was failing to get links, like being rate limited

GitGud has been periodically down for the last three months due to bot traffic. Loader is hosted there, along with most of the mods.

Yeah I get the self update failed error too and the program isn't recognizing that Git is installed for some reason even though it used to and I haven't changed anything. Is there some way for me to manually tell it where Git is installed?
