Is Jun the month we get the creation kit?

Jun is the last month in the first half of the year. Tod Howard said in a recant interview that creation kit was already in the hands of select creators. There was a steam leak in the end of February showing the creation kit being distributed to select content creators. The creation kit was scheduled to come out before shattered space, which is scheduled for fall.

 

If you were Bethesda, wouldn’t you want as many players playing early. The more players playing, the more players paying full price for the DLCs. The surest way of getting more players playing, is by releasing the creation kit earlier. Are there other reasons not to release the creation kit yet? Is Microsoft holding it off for some reason?

 

Furthermore, if I was Bethesda, instead of trying to sell mods which will destroy modding, they can start to incorporate some mods into their DLCs. Bethesda can have an open offer to mod creators, where they will buy chosen mods and incorporate it into the game. like this mods remain free, fun and open source, and chosen creators will bank, all while raising Bethesda’s bottom line.

To answer you treads question, Sadly no! I estimate it will come around the last week of June or 2 first of July, and if they mess things up again, mid July or later.

For starters Tod said that the creation kit will be available "Early 2024" on game launch. That would be January to end of April. It's june !

At best they will make a statement about it in xobx conference saying the usual "It's coming Soon"

But personaly I don't expect it before July. Maybe it is still not ready for release considering all the problems/bugs the game still has.

im literally in the VC Program and they have an announcement for everything to be dropped on June 9th since Microsoft is forcing them to release

It's not that there's bugs, that's never stopped Bethesda before.  I personally believe they have been delaying it because they wanted their special group of "verified creators" (read: shills) to have time to make paid mods without any competition.  I think it's a business decision to try and have paid mods get the "first out the gate" advantage that maybe, just maybe, the paid options will become the community standard this time around instead of free mods being far superior.

 

It won't work, but again, that has never stopped Bethesda before...

Ok, I didn't know you were in the VC.

 

Guess we will find out next week.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that you have wrong information, but when it comes to Bethesda at this point, I will only believe it when I see it.

Better than waiting to see it wait to use it ...

Imagine a game sold in alpha stage on october with a beta stage in may and you can be less confident on Bethesda 😁

I just watched the Xbox Showcase, Bethesda anounced some teasers about big announcements today (typical I know) and after the Call of Duty direct, the show just ended.

WTF?

Where are the announcements? Where is the "update"? Did I miss something?
