as long as you not publish ur UID, is safe.

you know why people are getting banned? not to be rude here
it's because they probably aren't so smart. They most likely shared whatever mods they found in a discord or to "not" so trusting friends with their UID in the picture.
Common sense is if you're going to mod some online game via the methods we are using now, don't give away any info along with your pictures. Don't trust anyone with this
I've been playing genshin with this same method of mods we use now for over 3 years and I'm still playing now. Just never forget this.
This same should apply to wuwa, just be safe and have fun playing.

Fearmongering.

 

Also doesn't help that the "info" is being shared by leak channels, by people that likely don't even use mods themselves.

Don't believe anyone that tells you modding is 100% safe, but also don't believe allegations with no proof. Been modding GI for 2 years, WuWa for about half an year, never even got warned. But I also don't go around parading my UIDs on social media with mods turned on.

I had hoped it was just fearmongering or paranoia, I couldn't find any concrete evidence people were being banned when I looked around so I asked here to be safe lol. Appreciate it!

The way these mods are set up are so no data is sent to the servers at all. It's all done through the gpu/ram/hdd or ssd you have on your pc, so basically only hosted on your side
so if you co-op with friends or even do online events with anyone they only see the basic chars w/o mods, only you see the mods

The ones that got banned was because they were using cheats, not skin mods
