GT_The_Beast Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 I've been out of the mod game for a very long time. I know that I've got some issues in this boot order because I can't get this to work. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it!

Of course you have, dear. 45 minutes ago, GT_The_Beast said: I know that I've got some issues in this boot order because I can't get this to work. It is 'load order' not 'boot order'. Just because it 'doesn't work' doesn't mean it has something to do with the load order. More information than 'it doesn't work' will be required. Or you could try something radical like reading and following a guide: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/136543-mod-organizer-2-other-tools-from-zero-to-hey-sexlab-is-working/ https://www.loverslab.com/topic/118460-skyrim-se-for-beginners-v-319-3bbb-hdt-smp-hph/ 1
GT_The_Beast Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 Thank you for the references. I didn't know that these existed before you posted. I've only found a few youtube guides that were not so up to date.
NoNickNeeded Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 (edited) I can see a couple of things a bit suspect. The most stand-out is SKSE. Rather than installing it as a mod in MO, you need to put that into your base Skyrim folder, or it won't work. Any mod you install via MO can only affect stuff in skyrim\data\ folder and further in, but SKSE needs to be a layer higher up. And once that's done, it should show up as a point in the list ont he top right, where in your screenshot you have the Creation Kit selected. You need to start SKSE, not Skyrim Special Edition to play the game, or it'll launch without the SKSE active and any mod that needs SKSE can't run. If I had to make a guess, I'd wager this is the primary reason why it won't work. I strongly suspect like this, it's just crashing to desktop, before you make it to the main menu. As for the rest: You should always load requirements before (so with lower priority) the mod that requires it. For example you load Devious Lore before Devious Devices and SexLab Aroused before Sexlab. That will probably not work. I would load SkyUI as the first mod, so 8 in your prio list, since most other mods require it. You already load the SkyUI fix after SkyUI itself, so that's fine, though personally, I'd load the fix directly after SkyUI, to keep everything nice and clear at a glance. Likewise it'd be better to load Faster HDT-SMP before KS Hairdos (unless it's a non-physics enabled version of KS, then it won't matter). I'm not familiar with UNP renewal, but if it's not for SMP, you might want to switch to BHUNP, since that uses SMP... either way, I'd load whichever body mod you pick after SMP. With Sexlab, SLA and the DD stuff, it'd go with Sexlab first, then Sexlab Aroused, then Devious Devices (the base mod), then DD Lore and DD Cursed Loot or the last two reversed. If neither is a requirement for the other, their order should not matter. If one is the requirement for the other, it goes on top of the other. You don't need both FNIS Behaviour regular and XXL. Just put the XXL where your FNIS Behaviour SE 7.6 is now and remove the latter. WIth the XXL overwriting the smaller one, I think it would not be a problem, but why take up unnecessary space, if the smaller one is fully replaced? -> That's what the gray lightning symbol means in MO by the way, that every single file of that mod is overwritten by something later in the load order and as it stands, it's as if the mod wasn't even there. Where you put BodySlide probably doesn't matter too much, but since it taps into your body mods, it should probably go somewhere below UNP. And finally I'd put XP32 Skeleton at the bottom. I'm not certain if this is still the case in SE, but in LE the XP32 skeleton was a little sensitive, if overwritten and it was recommended to only do so, when the other mod specifically said to do so in it's install instructions. For the plugins, you can just use the sort button at the top of the list to start things off, and if something doesn't work, try to asure that like with the mods list, the plugins also load requirements before the mod that requires them. GT_The_Beast Posted May 29, 2024 Author Posted May 29, 2024 I have followed the guide, but I don't think it addresses some of these things or I did them wrong. If anyone knows how to clear these, I would be deeply grateful.
