For god sake someone help

I was trying to mod my fallout over a week. Every time some other problem comes out. Right now i have those errors: "black loading screen on creation" "nude doesnt work, character wears underwear always" For underwear problem i even delete the json files from fallout and mods but still...

 

I fixed the black screen problem some how but i cant fix this nude think. HELPP

 

If i would upload my mod collection can somebody fix it? or mod list idk im using vortex.

- Which Fallout?  My dumb ass clicked from the "recents" and didn't realize this was the FO4 forum.

- I recommend using Mod Organizer over Vortex.  I don't remember Vortex other than I tried it a few years ago and gave up.  MO2 is much easier to use.

- There are probably guides you can follow to at least get you started.

 

Also I know it's painful to do, but if you want to mod things on your own you need to make your changes as modular as possible.  MO2 helps with that by virtualizing your install folder so none of the changes you make (in theory) are permanent.  Then you just add 1 mod + dependencies at a time until you've figured out how they're supposed to work together.

Some tips:

- Do NOT install the "other" mods here without first testing your base to make sure what you have installed works.

That was probably a mistake although i'd say your first mistake was trying to stick in 227 mods at once

 

That said your issue with nude NPC's wearing clothes is most likely because you didn't build the body in bodyslide (tool you will now need to run from within MO2 i believe - don't use MO2 myself) and if not that when batch building in bodyslide you selected the never nude option by mistake

 

I'd suggest trimming that down to what is actually required in the AAF guide (only - you can add more later) and then check you have nude bodies and that AAF works when triggered from the AAF framework manually using the home key

Yep, that's real careful.

 

Follow a guide on how to set up and use MO2.

Follow a guide on how to set up and use Bodyslide.

Follow a guide on how to set up and use any other tools required for modding FO4.

Follow a guide on how to mod FO4.

Read the description and install instructions of every mod before you install it.

Install mods a few at at time, checking after each bunch.

You didn't follow the guide.

 

If you did, you wouldn't have a mix of CBBE and Fusion Girl mods.  Even if you built one set of bodies in Bodyslide (did you?) the other body might still be overriding it.

I had zero mod experience when I downloaded and installed Vortex, which I still use, I followed The Fucking manual to the letter, added in other mods after for various gameplay diversity and have no issues.

It was not Vortex borking your install, Patience is they key here.

You have not said what version of the game you have, is it the old version or the v which was the talk of the update?

Reading the mod descriptions are key also to how your install will work, most have requirements to add on, did you get all of those or possibly miss some.

 

A lot of people use MO2 but it is harder for a first time user to negotiate, it is likely the better MM but there is nothing wrong with Vortex.

They only do what you tell them to.

If you did, you wouldn't have a mix of CBBE and Fusion Girl mods.  Even if you built one set of bodies in Bodyslide (did you?) the other body might still be overriding it.

Simply install whatever body you want to use and then, build the nude body (with morphs checked) in BodySlide.

Once you build the nude body, then you can build the outfits, again with morphs checked.

 

Easy peasy!

Once you get the nude body the way you like, I'd save it as a preset so you can use it for your outfits.

 

Oh, and keep in mind that the last "body" that is built is the one that will be used.

As a few others said, you tried to do too much at one time, so lets get to the basics, k?

 

Hopefully you have yer game files backed up in a folder somewhere, because most likely yer install is BORKED.

You can't use the new ver5sion of Fallout 4 that just dropped because it needs F4SE.

Once you have an empty Fallout 4 folder, refilled with just the raw game, click on FO4's exe file.

This initializes the game. Failing to do this will cause wierd problems.

 

C:\User\<Name>\App Data\Local\Fallout 4\

The EXE hopefully put new Load Order & Plugin files in there.

 

This PC\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\

Create a new file:

"Fallout4Custom.ini"

In this file, add the following lines:

 

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
 

Save.

 

Unzip F4SE to your Fallout 4 Folder. Overwrite if necessary.

Install the latest Vortex (they got all the bugs out, finally).

Use Vortex to install MCM, AAF, Looksmenu, Bodyslide, the latest version of AAF Themes, Fusion Girl, BT3, (Do not install clothing) & Savage Cabbage latest animaltions.

 

ONLY INSTALL THOSE THINGS.

Come back here & let us know if it's running correctly.

If you are using MO2 correctly then you don't place anything in Data.

 

How to use
Like a lot of my mods, it is currently DIY:

• Install with NMM or manually copy into your data folder and enable the ESP
• Copy the body/hand textures from your favorite body mod into:
  • data/textures/actors/character/PlayerHumanFemale for female PCs OR
  • data/textures/actors/character/PlayerHumanMale for male PCs
• Copy the body/hand meshes from your favorite body mod into:
  data/meshes/actors/character/PlayerCharacterAssets

Everything you need to know is there if somewhat poorly explained. That third step is where you take the body/hand meshes (nifs) produced by BS and copy them to the folder provided by Unique Player.

I was using vortex thats the problem. When i tried out with mm2 it was working, at least the "not naked part" was fixed. but there was other issues so i switched back. i found my problem at FAQ 

 

"Check if your player character or NPC is using a custom race, or your outfit a plugin that points to a different meshes folder (unique player mods).
If so, you will have to manually move the built files to the correct directories for the race/NPC."

PlayerCharacterAssets and the other folders beginning with 'Player' are folders from Unique Player.

Of course - the "teacher" is to blame if the "student" is impatient and simply mentally skips 2-3 steps.

Modifying games takes time and is above all a learning process... Instructions support this learning process - they are NOT intended to REPLACE it... precisely because almost EVERY player has a unique combination of their mods!

Almost every user here who tried to help you has at least 5-10 YEARS of experience modifying games... You're already complaining after 1 week... O.M.G.

I don't really expect anything from a beginner... because any advice is ignored by at least 75-85% of all questioners.

The mere intention of installing these 200 mods within 1 week as a beginner is so illusory... most of us "old hands" were already overwhelmed with 50 mods in a row when we were beginners.

As I already wrote, instructions are helpful - but due to the variety of mod images there is no 100% guarantee of success... that's exactly why you actually have to deal INTENSIVELY with the descriptions of EVERY SINGLE mod... only then are you usually in the right place Ability to ask targeted questions.

With more than 10 years of experience, my current mod image (about 300 mods) took me more than 4 weeks... and I used the linked guide myself - it helped me a lot with some core problems!

Grow from this, do what everyone here had to do and read each download page for all the info you need, then decide if the mod is worth the effort of installing.

Last if you even read this far is slow down, take a deep breath, show the respect you are given, be polite, you will get way more than you expect.
