GimmeBACON Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Laptop died on me and I've been out of the Skyrim modding loop for over 6 months. Built a new gaming rig and am looking to rebuild. I'm looking to make it as up to date as possible with mod compatibility (I have a feeling I'll have lost some, unfortunately) A.) I'm hoping there's an all-in-one collection that'll get the game stable. Retextures/NPC's/Clothes I'll get as I go. B.) I never had the nerve to learn Nemeisis, is there a simple guide out there? Also, how does it work with adult mods? Thanks in advance.
Grey Cloud Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 You've been around this site long enough to know that mod packs and collections aren't a thing here. There is an excellent guide in the SE section along with a compatibility thread and 'SE for Beginners' thread.
Swiftstep Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Welcome back. For B, see this guide. And for A, there is no more detailed one than this, I dare say. 1

Just because your GPU dies, does not mean the files on your SSD/HDD/M.2 are gone. If you still have the old storage device, there's a USB adapter for every kind of drive imaginable, more recently even the "new" NVME ones. They're not that expensive either. Also any even semi-competent computer repair shop will have these and would be able to restore important files to a USB stick or something similar. Finding one such repair shop may be more difficult than buying the adapter though - actually repairing computers kinda went out of fashion 10 years ago. Edit: ...and I suppose walking into a repair shop and asking them to restore your big-titty mods is... well you'd probably have to have quite a lot of confidence to do it lets put it that way. 1 hour ago, GimmeBACON said: I never had the nerve to learn Nemeisis Consider Pandora instead. Consider Pandora instead. I backed up all my files on a USB stick, I meant to say I'll likely lose some mods because mod authors stopped updating and Bethesda keeps breaking our toys. Didn't even know about Pandora, I'll be looking into it. Thanks.
