What actually happened to cause this sudden boost in popularity to the point where, if not for safety load, it would probably be mod of the month? I just tried it out today and it seemed pretty average as well. Seemed too saturated to me and the DOF, when it was using it, was over the top. Personally I prefer something like Phinix Natural. It probably has something to do with it being updated regularly and having all sorts of different builds to try (Quality/Performance + RLO/ELX, etc etc) Link to comment
Groovtama
Performance and user friendly installation, also many users like realistic presets. Gets updated really quick so when people search for realistic + latest enb version they often get to realvision. Link to comment
tuctuc
Been wondering this myself too...it's not bad but umm...very average. Propably becouse it gets updated fast to latest enb and is advertised as "realistic" and performance friendly. And Gopher has made a couple well covering videos of it and he has a huge following It was actually the very first ENB i tryed and used it for a long time...i guess at the time i chose it becouse it seemed popular and it was advertised as realistic but really it's far from it. Never really was fully happy with it and over months i started tweaking it more and more till it was unrecognisable. Then i had enough and started looking for alternatives, finding out what others do differently and found out how simple Realvision really is. Switched to Phinix Natural and was really impressed what he does "under the hood" and even provides very nice extra customisation options from effect file to ENB UI widget. This guy actually really seem to know what he's doing and higly recommend it if you like the natural look. performance friendly sraight out of the box too and convinient to customize. Aaaand then i had to find out what's all the fuzz about this Kyokushinoyama guy who keeps experimenting with all the crazy shader stuff... Very impressed again...unnecessarily heavy settings often though imo wich will be a turn off for many. Lot's of extra custom stuff you can do also if you dare to fiddle with the fx files. Right now i'm using modified Kountervibe ENB Extensive...so far mostly just tuned down some settings wich i felt was turned up too heavy and disabled a couple of things in fx files i did not like. Still looks amazing and now i also get a good performance ingame One thing i really miss though...RLO...used it for such long time so now it's so obvious to me and frankly an eyesore when there is light coming from where there should not. And as Kountervibe is not designed around it the result when used together is sometimes a bit strange. That's what i want to start tweaking next...making those two work better together. I guess my dream ENB would be a subtle merge off Kountervibe+Phinix+RLO compability and throw in the weather stuff Opethfeld is experimenting with. Sorry...i guess i went a little offtopic here Link to comment

I just tried it out today and it seemed pretty average as well. Ive tried it for long time but seems skyrimtuner have changed to much its to bright and not so sharp anymore dunno what he have done but it use to be realy great looking ENB. DoF is not working properly anymore i switch it off its annoying before it was great but not anymore. My last install with ENB V.236 and Realvision v.235 is very avarage i can't get it right anymore and for me way to bright less sharp. Next clean install i gonne try some others. Link to comment
hryh23k9823u
While I think enb in general is worse than cancer for videogames in general and modding community in particular, realvision has the advantage of being made to work for CoT, ELFX, etc., mods that considerably improve the skyrim visual aspects without performance issues, so the final result is a good looking conjunction of enb/real mods that has better performance than the average enb 'mods'. it needs some tweaking I think, specially for its excesive saturation, but appart from that I think is justified to say is the less bad enb 'mod' out there. And of course, if you use it without its main mods, cot, elfx, etc., it'll look like crap. Link to comment
Guest
It was my introduction to ENBs, I stuck with it for quite a while because it wasn't too taxing and it was integrated with ELFX and COT (neither of which I use now). But I found it's performance started tanking with each new binary release he was updating for, and I couldn't see any visual improvements to account for it. As for the saturation, it's an easy draw if you're tired of drab old vanilla. But when I saw other ENBs that looked nicer without the cartoon fantasy effect, that's when I dropped it. Link to comment
