New games are broken.

I have no idea what went wrong. All of a sudden recent new games and saves are bugged and certain NPCs don't ever begin important converstions with eachother. They just stand there day and night. Also, Raloff doesn't follow me outside of Helgen so the escape quest is stuck if I try to begin at the intro scene. Older saves work, but I had a few scripted mods installed on them, and a new game should work in the first place. Also, legion steel greaves are invisible on me/NPCs for some reason.

 

Using the latest SKSE and v3.5 FNIS(since haven't tried any newer mods that require the latest FNIS)

 

I already gutted a few mods out, like Enhanced Blood Textures, Combat mods, ect that contain scripts. Anything I installed recently.

If I try to use BOSS, I get this stupid message.

You can always try the old fashion way of finding the culprit. Turn off all mods (recent and older) and see if that fixes the problem. If the game works with no mods, then turn on a few at a time until you find the problem

Should I keep alternate start active? Also, why do older saves function fine and new ones don't with the same loadorder/mods?

(for instance if you install a scprit which modiifies Jarl Ufric to bark like a dog when you speak to him and there is a bug in that mod, you will never notice the bug until you speak to him)

Disabling the ESP/ESM files works. I actually had this exact problem a while back. Turned out to be an edit I made to a custom race mod. I replaced the edited esp with the one original and the problem disappeared.

Well least my game wasn't screwed permanently or something. Things seem fine with just Alternate Start active. Course, still can't get BOSS to work.

Solved another issue. Not game breaking, just bothersome.

 

The Orchid follower from Halo's site causes steel shin greaves to become invisible so you come across a couple barefoot legionnaires. I have no idea how to fix it so I'll just keep her disabled for now.
