Just bought FALLOUT 4

Hello guys,

I've just decided to pick up Fallout 4 on PC for the first time.

I appologise if a post like this already exists and you can happily send me in that direction if this is the case!

I'm very aware at how long and monotonous modding is for some of these games, I personally just play a heavily modded Sims 4 at the moment however I want to play Fallout 4.

I'm trying to cut out a load of the crap and i've come to where I think I'll get the best guidance.

Could you guys suggest some mod packs/collections which will help turn my fallout into a adult game hopefully one with lots of animations, nice graphic and texture mods already included. I ideally just want to make this an easy process and I know such packs exist I just don't know what they're called or what ones are good and what ones are bad.

I don't mind if I have to download some mods myself but I'm just trying to shorten the process of getting a nice looking game with lots of adult content and mods from the get go!

Thanks in advance for all of your advice and help!!

Are you specifically asking for erotic mods (which is what this site is known for best) or mostly general mods?

Erotic mods generally start here, this is the backbone for that after which you can start downaloading the specific AAF based mods:

General mods often start with utilities

unoffcialfallout4 patch

Buffout 4

High Speed Physics patch

After that the sky is the limit.

Calientes CBBE (so womens bodies in FO4 look better with different figure presets to pick)

Bodyslide to have fallout 4 clothes fit these new CBBE bodies

Most mods are designed with the classic guy hero in mind and most players play that.

Most erotic mods are designed with a female character in mind.

many many other mods.. too many for me to write, ill let the next person take that over.

I'm certainly after erotic mods, I don't know if there is existence of any huge conversion mod packs out there or If i'll just have to do it all myself, the best mod pack experience I ever had was with STALKER GAMMA, one click and you're 90% of the way there. If theres any MO2 mod packs that can get me there this is hopefully where I'll get directed through this thread!

I don't think you will get an erotic mod pack here or anywhere else to be honest, there are many individual mods that pretty much everybody uses, they will all be found and linked on the "Fucking Manual" thread that was posted earlier...It is just one of those things you will have to sink a bit of time and effort into.

A clean install of FO4 and day following the instructions on the link provided above will see you with the core/foundation of a very "spicey" adult Fallout game. After that, you can nose around this site and see if there is other stuff you'd like to add, but you do need to go down the path laid out in the linked thread if you want a proper adult orientated set-up. Any other course will just bring you frustration and problems.

One important tip - Go with the "Fusion Girl" body for maximum enjoyment of these mods - it was designed/created for them (as I understand it). I personally would never use anything else (and I've tried a few).

if this your first time playing FA4 why don't you play it with minimal mods, perhaps only few cosmetics/graphics/character enhances mods , enjoy it the first time. after all you only play a game for the first time once. you'll have time after to mod it all you want. nothing like playing a game for the first time.

It's okay I've played the game before when it released on PS4 but this time i'm wanting a different experience if you catch my drift.

Ah this is perfect, I'll go through and get cracking with it then, I'll give the Fusion girl body a go, is this to be used with CBBE or completely separate? If you have any other mod suggestions which you think are must haves and better than others feel free to let me know!

Fusion Girl and CBBE are two seperate tracks in building the female figure.

Its either one or the other (there is anotehr one i think but i forgot).

CBBE is a bit easier to set up and while FG fans tell me FG has better features CBBE is good enough for me.

Of course I am female, so I am about the erotic situation not the bodies and so I dont need every little hole to be "just so".

And the latest CBBE setups I think look pretty good.

CBBE does have terrible looking knees when kneeling, something women do  a lot of in these mods, and there are fixes for that, but I never go them to work without messing something else up.

While CBBE is good enough for me and you will find a greater selection of CBBE bodies presets than for FG and a greater selections of sexy clothes.

But now that I actually know a bit about the game if I were to do it again, who knows, maybe I would do FG, but now that I have a CBBE set up that works very well, I will not tear it down in favor of FG. :)

PS: I said earlier most erotic mods are aimed at female characters and thier erotic misadventures, but I also play as a guy and many mods cna be used by men also to have fun with the girls. Some have built entire harems at their settlements..

It was fun for me to see how "the other half" lives and felt empowering to do dating from "the other side" where the worry about pregnancy is hers, not yours and you as a guy can get, very how shall I say, very persuasive?

I had a really similar thing with Cyberpunk, chose a body mesh early on and then the steps to uninstall it are SO LONG so I had to stick with it instead of superior bodymods with more options.

Is it the same case between CBBE and FG, its very hard to swap them between eachother once you've started?

Just Fusion Girl on her own - And for male bodies (so the mods function properly), I use "Body Talk" (also linked in the manual thread).

I've just checked the recommendations on the Fucking Manual thread, and it has been updated pretty recently, so most "newer" mods I'd recommend to you are already listed there - I think once you have finished with the main set up, you will have the absolute bulk of the best working mods available. Other things you add will be clothing, dirty magazines, props, tattoos etc...but that is all personal taste/kinks really.

To be honest, I hated having to do it all to start with, it is a lot to get through (I'd only ever modded "Project Zomboid" previously and it was far easier than FO4), but once I got it set up, I was rewarded with the game that I wanted.

A fair few of the mods you will be installing come with FOMOD installers that ask what body you are using, so just swapping them out for others can involve re-installing several key mods and setting them to the correct body type.

Fusion Girl is well supported for clothing IMO, People like "NGamma", "Kharneth" and others have converted all of what I consider the best clothing packs (anything by "Vtaw", "DonEb14n", "AvaSinclaire", or "RohZima" is well worth having).

Not sure what body-type you are looking for but my FG generally looks like this...but the world is your oyster, thicker, thinner, add bodyfat, add muscle definition etc

I went wrong with this very quick, my mods seem to be working. I downloaded CBBE purely becasue there was a preset I liked, however my presets don't show up in the looks menu. I don't think my DATA file is linking from MO2 propely and I'm not sure why or how. When I load the game i get a lot of prompts saying other mods are working fine so not sure why this one isn't. Re-installed it a couple times to try that too but no luck.

Your Body Presets are found in "Body Slide" - "Looks Menu" deals with face presets and cosmetic things like make up, tattoos etc.

Once you locate the body preset you want to use in there, click the "Build" tab at the bottom of the Body Slide menu, that should set up your body to be used in game.

You will have to "batch build" all your clothing so it fits your selected body perfectly as well...it is just a few clicks of tabs, doesn't take long.

It actually sounds like you have done all the hard work and just need to learn your way around the various mods you've installed.

I've actually made it worse, somehow put the batch build on male character even though I have female character and now all the clothes fit weird on male character and my character is invisble. (and now my game is crashing on boot)..

I'm going to leave it here for one day lol

EDIT

Fixed half of it, game worked again, started new save, it's applied preset to my character. However clothes are still sitting weird on Nate in creation screen. I'm guessing this wont be an issue once I'm properly playing though as he won't be in the game?

one suggestion is to disable quest mods until you want to play them.

because there is a heap of really good quest mods for Fallout 4 that will crash with each other

Boston Breeder = extremely buggy but it is a good quest mod that uses different parts of the commonwealth (which is something that most mods do not do)

Zorkaz mods = far too many to list but they are really good

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/276084?tab=user+files

RBDDC12's and Thuggysmurf's Mods = really good collection of mods that give a different storyline

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/1362857?tab=user+files

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/14313259?tab=user+files

Sim Settlements 2 = (I haven't actually play them yet but they look really good)

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/73394

Galac-Tact / Mercs and Music = another good mod that give a different storyline

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48041

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/62921

I would play one mod collection at a time

also personally (while it is self promoting) I would also suggest getting my mod "Random Overlay Framework" (with its requirements) to give the NPCs a bit more life to them. (by giving them tattoos and Body Conditions (Pubic Hair, bah bah))

https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/14263-random-overlay-framework/

it should work on all of the mods above.

This is really good advice thank you, I love getting good advice early on when I can actually make the smart decisions to manage my mods PROPERLY. Too many times i've slammed 100 mods together and then had an issue with one mod and took hours to troubleshoot!

I'll make sure all my quest mods go in their own category for this reason.

no matter what you are planning to do with fallout 4, remember to disable steam update, otherwise you are going to have a bad time coming april 25th...
