Reloading Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I'm using devious devices / cursed loot. I'm using some custom npc mods. Pandorables / Bijin. They have different bodies than my characters. If they use a body clothing item that I've built for my character, their body will change to the same shapedata as my characters that I've built that clothing for. Great. No problems. If they use a harness / clothing item that's been built for my character, but isn't a body slot item, their body doesn't change. Is there a mod that provides blank items that I can build for my bodyslide preset and then put on npc's which will change their bodies to my characters body so that when they equip other non body slot items built for my character they wont clip?

Have you tried adjusting your nude body in Bodyslide? When you wear DD (or other) items without body slots it should be your nude body form that you see.
bnub345 Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 What you can do is build all of the clothing/DD items with the zeroed slider preset. This will make the items conform to whatever body the wearer has, except slot 32 (body slot) items. Body slot items contain a copy of the body mesh and will always be that shape. 1

Slot 32 (chest) will generally contain a body mesh. Feet and Hand slot items will also contain they appropriate meshes if they show flesh. Other slots, while built around a BS Preset, will not contain a mesh to replace the NPC's When you build an item in bodyslide you build it, presumably, for the same body preset you use as the player. Custom NPC's will often have their own body/feet/hand meshes and so equipping an item one these will replace the mesh or clip through they existing one. Taken from the Mod Description page for Bijin Warmaidens (For some reason I cannot upload an image right now) [How to change their body types] [1] Copy the following 2 body meshes from the body mod which you want to use. If you want to use the same body as player character's, copy from Data/meshes/actors/character/character assets/here femalebody_0 femalebody_1 [2] Overwrite character's mesh files where Data/meshes/actors/character/Bijin Warmaidens/here by [1]'s files. Copy and overwrite the following files as well if the hands and feet have any seams on the characters. femalefeet_0 femalefeet_1 femalehands_0 femalehands_1 [3] Done. However they better conformed to npc body. Having a look at pandorables/bijin it seems only bijin changes npc body meshes and its a shared file in each mod. So only have to replace body/hands/feet files for npcs/wives/warmaidens. Might go that route.

So only have to replace body/hands/feet files for npcs/wives/warmaidens. Might go that route. I forgot to mention, make sure you have the build morphs checkbox ticked in bodyslide. Especially if you use the custom sliders in racemenu for your PC. Also, the bijin mods use a worn armor entry to change the bodies. If you delete the WNAM header in xEdit, all of those NPCs will use the default body. Probably easier/faster than replacing all the meshes, if you want to go that route.
