Surely to god there is an SE mod to stop bards singing an playing?

LE has 'Silent Bards' but I can't find anything remotely similar for SE.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I saw this a couple of days ago but didn't think it actually shut them up permanently.

If you disable it in the Mcm it should. Usually have the game on mute but I've never seen somebody dancing again and I don't have a mod against that behavior so I believe it should do
