Maybe i am illiterate or whatever, i just cant get facial expressions to appear during sex scenes. i pasted the attached files into the scripts folder, i installed sexlab facial expressions se + its requirements and nothing happened. how do i know which stage to edit in mcm/sexlab/ expression editor and how do i make these changes apply? i would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to make expressions work or point me to a tutorial :)

Some things come to mind:

  1. MfgFix (the opparco variant is as far as I know broken, or not compatible).
  2. You somestimes need to enter RaceMenu to get expressions working again, not sure why or what causes it. Never bothered me enough for me to look into it.
  3. SL 163 BETA 9 has a bug with the mouth not opening for moans. I rewrote sslBaseVoice.MoveLips() to fix it.
  4. If you're using the "plus" variant of SL, consider removing it. It is also a broken or generally incompatible mod as far as I know. (or people just tend to install it wrong?)
  5. Not sure its a good idea to replace SL's script files with 3rd party ones before you get the base system working. Install SL, get it working as-is, then consider whether something needs to be changed or not.

did you get it to work just by installing it while having mfgfix and a current sexlab installation? nothing else to do to make the expressions kick in?

Expressions are already in the game. SL uses vanilla expression functions. mfg fix for the most part only restores the mfg console command. I see no reason why SL out-of-the-box wouldn't have expressions working.

There's some talk of SMP breaking expressions. Disable that if you still haven't gotten it to work.

you mean the hdt-smp physics?

the facial animations work, i can test them with the option in the expression editor from sexlab. they just dont play during scenes.
