Behold, stranger ! *drum roll* The great pornification of skyrims library has begun !

 

Here is a replacer covering all of skyrim's books i've been working on since a couple of months now, and I feel like it's finally polished enough for an early release 

 

Credits to the original mod author which I based my work on and to the artists I borrowed pictures from

 

⚠️You need the original mod : Book Covers Skyrim at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) for it to work ( ; apparently  i've been told this mod is included in the Legacy of Dragonborn mod, redundency - i don't know myself ) 

 

Textures are 1k  - Quick preview and a few screenshots to give you an idea

 

I didn't include the Song of Pelinal series and the 2920 series yet as they both need more polish and i didn't settle my mind yet

 

I didn't cover any journal ( aside from a couple exceptions, for now) nor any note 

 

I didn't cover the generic spell tomes as I already did in a previous mod 

 

That's it I think. Enjoy and go collect them all ! and report any issue as there are probably bound to be a few, given the number of books I had to make

Also, screenshots are always appreciated ! ( love seeing my stuff in others playthroughs )

Yes indeed I forgot to mentioin, as those are only textures it should work on LE too ! Thanks for the screenshot, I realise I need to rework a bit the positioin of the Aedra&Daedra book now 👍
I will update with more polish anyway, aswell as adding the 2 missing series of books

Regarding the Book Covers mod: which of these three mods do you recommend to go along with the porny book covers?

I have had a look at the descriptions and the posts of these three mods, but haven't been able to make up my mind so far. Also regarding the 2k/4k and saturated/desaturated color options the two updated mods provide...

I linked the mod I was using in the front page but I understand the confusion; though as this mod is replacing the texture files, it doesn't matter which version ( desaturated/not) or which texture resolution you download as they will be replaced by my 1k retextures ; only thing are the books/journals/notes that I haven't touched yet, so I'd go with whatever version you prefer ( I think I used the desaturated version initally )

Nice covers 😄. The only thing you could do maybe for your next update is to save the images generating mipmaps. This avoid the grain effect on the textures, making them adapt better from distance.

Thanks, but i'm pretty convinced I already did that  but i'm indeed not totally happy with some of them normalmaps, I also think there is a weird effect on some. Maybe i'll solve it on the next update but frankly i'm not so sure as I'm super potato sometimes

You came in CLUTCH with these just as i got into modding for VR. I was wondering if any mods like what FO4 has (the magazines with rack displays) existed here and YUP, slowly but surely thanks to you and PSBoss, who did Skygirl books, which are fantastic! 

 

Highly recommend these mods for naughty housing needs.

Please keep making these, might i recommend standalone books to find added to level lists with book displays that work for hearthfire? Or if not, then a Porny house to display them? (I know modding hearthfire stuff can be a pita) I would also love a new paintings mod using this framework. This one has some nice art, but i'm more traditional and it has a TON of beasty stuff. Which is not my thing. 

Artsy stuff, AI generated, real porn stars/mags idc. I just like to hunt this stuff down and display it my houses. I swear i got months worth of content out of FO4 with mods just like these lol.

You could just say "thank you" and let PyGee do his own thing as an artist.

I can't speak for PyGee on this matter, but I do use LotD and Book Covers, which is supposed to be included in LotD.  I think we're unclear on what books have been added beyond that to LotD - for us there is overwrite and confusion.  PyGee does NOT use LotD, so forgive him for not responding forthwith.  I'll take a look at things shortly and see what needs done.  I'm under the impression at the moment that LotD adds alot more books than Book Covers ... covers ... So a patch for that may be out of the question.  Depends on what PyGee wants to do.  Because I use these mods, I will try to work closely with him and see what we can accomplish.

I see. If you guys are unable to do it, then it's no big deal for me. However, I don't have Book Covers installed, so I am under the impression that LotD does use it as part of their mod, if that helps. If I may make a suggestion, if you guys don't have AddItem Menu, it can tell you which books LotD adds to the game by looking through the menus.

Thank you, I'm quite adept with xEdit, so can determine books that way.  I just need time and patience to do it.  That you don't have book covers installed answers the question of is it included and working properly with LotD.  That's a good thing.  Really nothing else to say until I touch base with PyGee about it.  I would like to see those other books covered, but I don't tell PyGee what to do.

I'm glad I could help you guys with the info I gave. You guys know way more about this than I do, so do what you need to. Like I said, if it won't work, then it's not the end of days.

End of days could happen any time - that's why I like your sig, but I'm pretty sure it won't be because of a mod .  I often don't want conversation until I do - PyGee is the same.  Give it a few days and I'll see if we can work something out.

It's fine. It actually makes it easier to know which books are from what. I look at the book covers and think, "OK. This one doesn't have a hot girl on the front, so it's not vanilla."
