Sexlab didn't work...... need help

Newest versions of SKSE, SkyUI, FNIS and FNIS update, everything required is done (at least the above).

 

But this mod just couldn't work. No sound, no animations. The actors just stand there for a few seconds, then they continue to do their original work, seems nothing has happened.

 

Also, Match Maker couldn't work with a message "Your spell fizzles and fails to affect.....", dialogs of Romance appeared but nothing happened after I clicked them, Submit works half of it, that the player can surrender and be tortured, but no rape scene appeared.

 

Sounds like problems of animations, but I'm pretty sure that I've got the right version of FNIS and creatures pack and updated everything. There was no sound, so I guess the mod just simply didn't work, but MCM menu of Sexlab appeared in my save.

 

I tried to use a clean save downloaded from Nexus and see if Sexlab can work in this save file, but no, it's just the same thing happened in my other saves.

 

I doubt if it's the problem of load order or compatibility, so here's my load order. I presume mods of retexture, sound altering won't affect sexlab......

Did you get any error messages when you ran FNIS? Did it say that it successfully exported?

Also, (unrelated) you might take a look at your nohelmet files.. maybe they can be merged.

Did FNIS list Sexlab when it looked for animations?

 

If Sexlab is not listed are you using that turd called Nexus Mod Manager?

 

If you are using NMM, did you turn off its default option to not include README files? (Hint it doesn't include a lot of files that are not readme files too).

Try 'Rebuld and Clean' in SexLab MCM menu, save and close. Open and load and wait for SexLab reinstall animations, voices etc., till it says its done, and then try again.

Well it's debug time then, try a clean save, only with SexLab and a working plugin for it (better something like prostitution or romance than matchmaker, since is kinda bugged apparently). Could be a script and/or memory problem, thats it, another mod stopping your sexlab to work and screwing your skyrim stability.

I have tried a new game. I have tried every thing I can think of and everything that has been suggested. I have not added any mods except the newest versions of the required mods and Vilja(which I doubt is doing anything)

i had the same problem a few days ago when i updated to the new Sexlab. turns out not all for Sexlab's files copied over. Make sure everything is in every file it is supposed to then make a new game to remove any hanging scripts you might have left over.

That seemed to help at first. I did it twice successfully with two different partners but it stopped working after that. Is sexlab romance not working right with this anymore?

Wait...only things I have are the attraction spells and idle spells. In the configuration menu in the main menu pressing ESC I get sexlab options though. What do I need to do anything?

Next step to try, enable Script Logging and then zip and post the log here.  We can then look at the log output to see if there is any indication of what might be going on.

 

Instructions for enabling logging in Skyrim

 

Find Skyrim.ini in your "My Documents" folder. Open it up in Notepad or your preferred text editor. Then make the following changes and save it. You'll find the logs inside the "My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs\" folder the next time you run the game. The most recent log will always be named "Papyrus.0.log"

fnis exe load sexlab (1.24), the creature pack, and the animation are installed, because in certain situations work. another problem, in the interior, sometime i "fail" troug the roof and "fail fail fail" endless. ah, at last, some time ago (1.24 but another characther, another mods), fuking janessa cause i(and her), without collision, fly-fuking from Solitude to the small isle in Rivenwood, the place where i fuked janessa for the frist time (maye is the location of my frist fuck of my character, wiht another npc, not remeber).

I got it to work once but then after re installing everything and doing every single step to a T I now get "Your spell fizzles and has no effect" or something like that. This is so irritating, how could this be so complicated and convoluted? Is there a command I could enter that doesn't require me using the spell?

I got mine to work. I had the same problems as you guys did. I re-installed everything in this order.

FNIS - with creature animations

Run GenerateFNISforusers

SexLab Frame work

SexLab Arousal

Any other mod that uses FNIS or SexLab

(ex. SOS)

Run GenerateFNISforusers

 

If you get an warning or error compaining about PapyrusUtil, reinstall SexLab Frame work run GenerateFNISForUsers

Then make a clean save and go to your settings for SexLab and run the Reset/Clean, make another save and under the SexLab animations make sure the correct animations are selected, this is probably why it isn't working, It started working perfectly for me. Try these steps and make sure you play around with the settings in SexLab

I'm going to try what you suggested, Cianferret. My only concern is that my animations don't show up in the MCM window. So I don't know how to test them. I can't affect people with the spells, I also get the "You spell fizzles and has no effect" or whatever, and if my character is defeated my enemies won't accept his surrender.

So first things first, your steps up above. Hopefully I can go from there and figure out why this isn't working.

Okay.... I'm not sure what I did to make it work, because I was doing a LOT of things just to try and see if I got lucky. I ended up going into Sexlab MCM and at the very bottom, "Rebuild & Clean" said that it would clear all voice, expression, animation, etc. Registries.

 

I had several different issues, like none of the animations were listed in the MCM, I don't know if they weren't working, because I could trigger any of them, but they just didn't want to work. I also had problems with that "Your spell fizzles and fails to affect _______". I couldn't submit to enemies, no one would rape my character. It was a whole bunch of things that had me stumped. I'm pretty religious with my GenerateFNISforusers and LOOT, so I hoped it had nothing to do with that.

 

But when I selected "Rebuild & Clean", and it supposedly cleared all of those registries, everything showed up again. I THINK I saved and then exited the game, loading the new save and everything was there finally. Now I can tweak things and it all seems to be working, for now.

 

Again, I don't know what was going on or how exactly I fixed it, but I do think the Rebuild and Clean was a factor in fixing my issue. It might have also been the steps you provided. I hope that helps anyone else having this issue.
