Drewsph77 Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Hi, does anyone else have the issue of CC appearing on new and premade townies? I'd like to figure out how to keep that from happening. Thanks!
davemash Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 I know you can do it with a program called Sims 4 Studio. Content management > Batch Fixes > CAS > Disallow CC for random. You chose the mod folder and run it. All sorted or there might be an easier way I'm not aware of. 1

Sorry, I didn't get the notification that someone responded. I've tried this method before, but it seems like every time I do, NPC's faces disappear or something happens in game. Have you had anything like this happen? If so, how did you fix it?

Since I don't trust using batch fixes myself, due to possible disasters, I used S4S to edit all my sims wearable cc to uncheck the box for 'allow random'. Although I was also making sure tags were correct for all the clothing categories, correct colors for cc hair. I quite often found female type cc tagged for masculine and incorrect colors on some clothing and alpha hairstyles. It took several days as I didn't want to try doing them all at once. You just have to make sure you save often, like after every edit, and again when finished.

I had this several years back, too. Make sure that you don't use this method on default replacements like skins, eyes, etc. That was my issue, iirc. I also remember something about eye lashes - not sure if an issue occured due to this or when I merged them (it's been too long).
