Can't buy AEP Photography Studio

Hello! i ve tried a lot of things to find what can cause tha but it seem that i can't find where come from my problem! When i try to buy the photo studio, it always tell me: "Sims can only purchase unowned business or unoccupied residential lots"

If someone got any clue about it it would be really cool!

Are you trying to buy a photogrphy studio or a personal video studio?  IDK you could actually purchase the first option. If you can, check the venue type and make sure that it isn't some other type of "photography studio" (could be a venue list thing)

The photography studio from AEP is not a buyable venue and the whole point of it is to have some place where Sims could go to have photos taken by a professional photographer (plus, you no longer need the whole backdrop and tripod setup on your home lot or in some other community space). That being said, photography studios don't work anymore with the latest game patch (at least in my game), as none of the NPCs are showing up.

However, the photo shoot interaction itself (both regular and erotic), when used by an actively played Sim, does still work.

 

For personal video studios, IIRC, it is recommended to buy a residential lot which will then be converted into the appropriate type. Since shooting videos at home has become  increasingly buggy with every game update, I haven't even tried that or the video studio following the latest patch yet. Considering how much AEP has suffered from not receiving any kind of update in over a year, I would also suggest to not bother too much with this whole matter (if it doesn't work, that is).

 

Taking photos, streaming cam shows and the career itself all still work (though promotions appear to be broken, at least for me, and are therefore possible only through use of MCCC), so there's enough of the mod left to play with, but the more "complicated" features are very likely to be all more or less entirely broken by now (and if they aren't, chances are that the next major game patch will break what's left of them for good).
