ballsy Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Sorry to disappoint you, but since I've played both games, I'll say it straight out that it's a High Elf from Tera. No, not a Tera High Elf looking race or setup, but an actual High Elf from Tera photoshopped onto a Skyrim location. Anyone who has played that mmo for a decent amount of time would instantly tell you the same. If you want to know specific reasons why I think this way, keep reading. The breasts. See those rough edges around the breasts (for example the c-shaped one on the right)? This happened when you got to locations with sub-optimal lighting conditions. Despite people saying that Tera is epic on detail, it's still something I noticed when I still played the game. Yeah I did play a High Elf. I'm pretty sure even the oldest body meshes for Skyrim looked better around the breasts. The eyes also suffered from looking bad under poor lighting conditions. More specifically, being able to see the bottom rim outlined. Again I don't think vanilla eyes or eye replacers for Skyrim have this issue. The nose. Same deal here. Under poor lighting conditions you see 2 tiny lumps that span across the nose vertically. Also exclusive to Tera. That weird looking thing above the ear which strongly resembles the only High Elf accessory available in shape and positioning. Various Skyrim-only features are in-place but are presented in a way that could've VERY easily been the work of photoshop. The necklace does not clip with anything. The crosshair is on the armor but is not transparent from other HUD mods or whatever. What we get to see of Markarth in the screenshot only makes it a backdrop, the character does not interact with anything there, and we don't even get to see where her feet stands. The compass only covers the backdrop. The hair is fine though, since I remember someone porting Tera hairs over to Skyrim. But all the other similarities point to this being a High Elf from another game.
GrimReaper Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Actually, there was a mod that gave you the appearance of the Tera High Elf model in Skyrim. It's basically an armor mod + a helmet that is used as the face, hair and ear. It's not unheard of that a modder rips assets directly off a game, reweights and ports them to work with the skyrim engine and stuff. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/15232-wipreldiegoforfun-modsplayermodelsweaponsarmors-v2/ In this thread you find plenty of stuff from other games directly ported over to Skyrim. The downside is that you character is not actually looking like that, technically it's just an armor.
seth666c Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 was really hoping i could at least get that actual face on my elf not just a helm or a disguise
Uno Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Ya, GrimReaper is right. Maybe I'm wrong but I think I saw that Tera model at the following thread a long long time ago... http://www.loverslab.com/topic/3113-tera-mod-collection/ Happy hunting.
