You need unpack archive to /mods folder.

Timerz Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 (edited) PROGRESS REPORT #2 [Depraved Sense] WOW! We've actually reached the number 2. That's wonderful. Now, putting that aside, let's go on to the news. VRUM VRUM GET IN THE BUS! First of all, the first version of the animation system is 90% done! We can already create stages, phases, and transitions between all of it. Don't believe me? Check this out: Animation Preview Would you look at that! It works nicely for what we want to achieve (albeit with some jankiness for now). This is all possible thanks to the AnimationBus I mentioned previous report. Its main goal is to pick certain characters in the game and animate them accordingly, including (theoretically) syncing them on the go! And the crazy part is that all of this is massively MODULAR, so you can create scenes in any kind of situation you want, as long as you create the correct calls and animation cells for it. How, you ask? By using the brand new Animation Kit Format! This new format allows animators and other modders to add calls for them. And all are separated into their own modules. For example, in here, I have included all the necessary information here for the mod to create the required cells for the animation. Of course, I'm not going to explain how all of this works yet, but you can get an idea of what kind of power we are dealing with here. Kit 1/3 Kit 2/3 Kit 3/3 The best thing about this is that these AnimationKits can all be merged! Which means that if an animator wants to add more phases to an already existing stage, they have the power to do that! Although I still need to create a proper loading order system, so this won't explode. But coming back to the "90% done" I mentioned before. Although I'm pretty sure that this will work well with players and zombies, I still need to program the logic that will position them in the right place when a scene starts. We don't want for character to be facing against a wall instead of their partner. CLIENT VS SERVER If you guys don't remember exactly, our previous mods like ZomboWin were TERRIBLE with multiplayer! The mod barely worked at all with other people, and the patches made to "fix" that just made things worse with time. That was because all of the logic of the mod worked on the Client, and that made things impossible to sync with other players, as the Server had no idea what to do. However, thanks to that, I made sure to make ALL of the animation logic of DepravedSense on the Server! It's all server-sided, man. Meaning that all of the scenes will "mostly" be synced with all the players. But the downside of all this is that it makes things way more complex to handle, as I need to make sure to send crucial data from the Client to the Server and vice versa. A case of this is the animations themselves. Although I can initiate them from the Server, they still only run on the Client, forcing me to communicate with the Server when such animations end and when events occur, which is kind of a mess. I still need to find a proper method to do this, as the one I used on the demo video is too slow. You can see that it takes too long for the bus to notice that the animation ended and stuff. Not to mention that it also introduces the malicious problem of LAG, and the fact that B42 doesn't have multiplayer doesn't help at all, so all I am doing here is taking a shot in the dark and hoping that I can nail this first try. Now... WE'RE GONNA BE TALKING ABOUT THE PENIS! After a bit of testing and some demonstrations on the Discord, I can affirm that Animated Penises are *probably* possible. We still need to test how things will work. The method we found is the most direct one you can think of. We are adding more bones to the character's model! Although a bit of a hassle to do it, it's possible! However, simply adding an animated schlong to the model IS NOT THE WAY!! If you are doing that, STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!! Thanks to how clothes work on Zomboid, the penises will most of the time be visible unless you are wearing pants that have their own model, like jeans, for example. So, as a better alternative, we are looking into separating the PENIS into its own model so we can create a more modular and robust way. Alright! I think I've got everything I needed to say. This mod will still take a while to reach 0.1. There is still a bunch of technical stuff that needs to be done for it to work flawlessly. See you in the next report! That’s exactly why my demo video on Discord shows a penis “floating in the air” before snapping into the right position. You can clearly see it appear and then disappear from the character : that specifically avoids the problem I had with my custom B41 model, where men were walking around with their dick covered by a pants texture. The male model in my ZomboLust Lewd Models B42 mod does NOT have a dick included 'ONTO' the model. That’s also how we’ll be able to have futanari (by the way). Only when they are naked are they pushed around; only when they stagger or fall over and are defeated do you die. [ New Player Defeating Mechanic ] Currently, only male players can defeat zombies. With rope in hand, shoving a female zombie will have a chance to defeat them based on the characters traits and strength level. Although 'Traumatize' won't be gained from this method, sickness still accrues normally. With Hard-Mode trait 'It Follows' players are safe from dying when they defeat a zombie using this method. Disabled for now, until next update. Testing reveals major bug. How to defeat a female zombie: Step one: Find suitable zombie! If you're trying to install it ont B42 (Which I bet you are doing.) You need to install the B42 slava-1a did. However, the mod doesn't appear in the in-game mod list. Other B42 mods appear, but this one doesn't. This is my first time playing this game and I need a more detailed solution.
