archgeek Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I have sexlab installed with some of the extensions, but whenever I try to start a sex animation, it skips it. My character moves slightly, as though they were being aligned, but then the npcs involved just walk away. This happens no matter which mod i try to use to initiate sex. The only ones I have found to work are rape animations, anything consensual fails to start. Â I've been through the FAQs and help threads, but can't find an answer.
sashalag Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Are you using a custom race? If you are, try to use sexlab with any of the vanilla races. Â
cuentacuenta Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Install Fuz Ro D-oh: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14884//? i think itll fix it
archgeek Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 No, I'm not using custom races, and I already have Fuz Ro D-oh. I've removed most of my mods incase it was a conflict and my load order is fine (I've compared it to other examples on other threads). I think the problem is in sexlab somewhere.
myuhinny Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Skyrim SexLab, is a resource mod that other mods can pull from to use for adult animations. This mod does NOTHING by itself, and requires a separate mod to make use of the resources provided. So I doubt that it is Sexlab that is causing it unless you installed it incorrectly updated incorrectly or is missing something like running FNISÂ for Users to update all animations in the game. Â ----- Requirements ------------------------------------------------------------- Â Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) Â Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) REQUIRES FNIS 4.0.2 OR NEWER Â SkyUI REQUIRES VERSION 4.1 OR NEWER Â If you dislike SkyUI for some reason, you can also install SkyUI-Away on top of it. Â FNIS Creature Pack version 4.0.4 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required. Â ----- v1.24 Update ----------------------------------------------------------------- Â If you were on v1.20 or newer, just install the update patch (UPDATE_v120_to_v124.zip) and run FNIS for Users again to regenerate your animation behavior files and wait for the update to finish after loading your save. Otherwise follow the below instructions for updating. Â ----- IMPORTANT Pre-v1.20 Upgrade Instructions --------------------------- Â If using a version of SexLab from before v1.20, before installing v1.20 or newer follow these instructions. With the old version of SexLab (v1.15b or older) still installed; load your save game. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16623-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v124-updated-1020/ Â Also it is very hard to tell WTH could be causing a problem if you do not give us your load order without a load order showing what you all have installed we are basically just shooting into the dark as to what might be causing it. You could have something that is conflicting with something else outdated stuff incompatible mods and so forth. Â
archgeek Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 I've updated all my mods and removed most in case it was a conflict. I followed the install instructions and checked my load order. Also I've found another thread which reported the same problem for a lot of people. Sexlab animations are skipped over; you can clearly see when they're supposed to happen, but they just don't start and the game goes on as if they had. Rape animations happen fine, and an animation ran fine when I selected yes to "use the nearby bed", but consensual sex won't start correctly no matter what mod use to call for it (eg matchmaker, one of the prostitution mods). I'm sure it's not a conflict in my load order or a conflicting mod, I thought of that possibility. I think it's something to do with sexlab, possibly a mistake I made in installation, but if it is it's not one mentioned in any install guide.I'm going to try loading my clean save (from before I loaded any mods) and see if that helps.Edit: no, loading an earlier save has not helped. Also using a bed seems to start animations, but it's a bit hit and miss on the alignment.
archgeek Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 I think I've fixed this. I'm pretty sure it was my fault, I think I missed a step somewhere when I upgraded the sexlab framework. I went back a few saves and reinstalled sexlab and now it appears to work fine. A few alignment problems, but those happen in tight, crowded areas, to be expected I suppose.
