aspirine2 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 been messing around trying to figure out whats wrong.. spent about a day researching and testing. the problem is whenever i touch the eyeliner tab at the Makeup tab, the face texture change to the rusty face popular bug. is that tab a mod or built into the game? and if it's built into the game is there a mod that can add custom ones?? many thanks in advance.
KoolHndLuke Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Are you using the high poly heads mod? If so, the textures from mods will sometimes not look right. Has to do with 3d alignment. Edited December 6, 2023 by KoolHndLuke

Has to do with 3d alignment. been using those for months but this issue appeared suddenly after installing these mods. i know they have nothing to do with the body or face texture but that's what happened. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15945 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3747 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1204 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13596 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46722
aspirine2 Posted December 6, 2023 Author Posted December 6, 2023 finally had a solve to this issue, and here are the steps i did. 1) remove all mod textures from M:\Games\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\actors\character\basehumanfemale 2) remove all mod textures from M:\Games\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\actors\character\PlayerHumanFemale 3)reinstall any texture mod you like make sure it's not 2k or 4k specially the makup or tattoos or any overlay mod for the face. 4)edit the 2k or 4k specially the makup or tattoos or any overlay mod for the face with the https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17624 making them 1024 5)open your game, load your save, use ~ key click on your pc while game is running. use slm (pc number on screen) select the face preset that got rusty dark face. go to extras make sure the face is clear from any overlay. 6)save 7)load your game
