(Meaning the old plugins work on the new Skyrim, but new plugins do not work on the old Skyrim) Now... you are wondering How can we fix this? well... really someone will need to make a DLL that will make the older versions able to use the new range of ESL, and remove the version filter, or adjust it to allow for versions 1.71 plugins. But until that day comes, I have discovered a 100% fix.... mostly... there is a number of ways, I will list the best ones. Use VR build or Skyrim 1.59 SE. If you have the VR version of Skyrim, you can use the older versions of the Creation kit, and just use that to make mods for Skyrim SE. This is not perfect, but it is the easiest. The BSA's and plugins are named the same so as long as you are not editing something really deep that is different in VR vs AE, then you are fine. for example NPC's, Outfits, Weapons, Houses, the simple things, these will all work fine in this manner. Create your mods using Xedit only. So far Xedit will make mods fine that will work just fine across all versions. Using Xedit, you can easily make a new plugin and do anything except compile scripts and see where you are putting things in the world at. but there are mods that will get your location in a cell and you can use that, and there is also 3rd party mods that will compile scripts, so all is still possible. Lastly... you can just make your mods in the newest creation kit. If you make is ESL, then in Xedit you need to remove the ESL, and recompress, and re-ESL it. Also, change the version number. You can do this by clicking on the header, (HEDR -HEADER) and then just below that is the version. it will say 1.7100000 (Subject to change with time) you just need to change the 1 to a 0, like 1.7000000. you can do this by right clicking it and select edit and manually fix this. I was successful with the new 1.01.A , everything loaded fine. Though I have one slight issue with Misery (no hands) I have swapped out meshes/textures with my own. All other characters have no issues , just Misery with no hands. This is after removing all armors , that i see no hands. Thanks for fixing this!!

I started with Misery, her default body is missing hand and feet textures. I checked Circe and Morgana, both were fine. It could just be me but may want to look at it. Keep up the good work. RowdyD1313 Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 So recently I figured out how to have the followers I create use the body that the player has instead of using a standalone body. Textures are still separate they would just use the body shape. You can still change the textures to what you prefer or if your using something other than CBBE/3BA/TBD you'd need to use a texture that is compatible with the body your using. Going forward would you as the player prefer that the followers use the body your using or continue to use the standalone body shape? Poll closes 03/01/2024 Find the poll below. Rabat Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Same problem as Chasm has. Loads up fine into Vortex and shows up in xedit, but nothing from the mod is showing up in game. The version just prior worked absolutely fine so it shouldn't be a load order or conflict issue, unless i'm modding stupid again.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Ok new version is up. So what happens is when a mod is now open for ANY reason in the creation kit, it slaps a new "version" number on the mod 1.710+. The "1" after the 7 has to be changed to a 0 for it to be compatible with all versions of skyrim. Stupid I know. I've triple checked this one before uploading. I can change their default bodies with my own 3BA bodies in their mesh folder in MO2 but, as for their outfit's I don't see an option for that. Is there any chance you can assist me with using a smaller sized mesh for their clothing? Thx, Attila

Just build them with the body you prefer then navigate to data/meshes/DX/necromancer Copy the meshes in this folder (easier to just grab them all) Then go to; data/meshes/!SSC/Armor Paste them here and that'll take care of the necromancer robes. Yes to overwrite when asked. For Sage's outfit, once built navigate to data/meshes/Obincii/ForestAttire Once again you can just copy all the meshes here Then paste them in data/meshes/!SCC/Armor Thats it they'll use your body now. A: Yes she will be added to Star Shadow Coven here after I'm done the revamp on Maidens of Darkness. I've flipped her hair to the opposite side and of coarse she'll have a different name and all.
