Curious Question

Not any actual problem with any mods but just a question and wondering if its happened to anybody else. Not too long ago found out Haelga had 2 hits put out on my character and was just curiously wondering if anybody else had this happen in their game. Wasn't an assassination by the Dark Brotherhood but on 2 occasions 2 Imperial Thugs attacked me while on the road and both times one of them had a note from Haelga about a contract put out on me and it stated that it  didn't matter whether I was dead or alive.

I had the same thing happen. I had just started a new game and stopped in Riverwood to warn them about the dragon and the one I told Haelga. I was attacked by things between Riverwood and Whiterun moments later.Apparently she can be real bitchy at times.

It has happen to me numerous of times. I think it is supposed to trigger when the game thinks you have a done little way to much "good" stuff.

And sometimes the game want to throw some random stuff at you for no reason at all. Last week, a group of mercenaries was hired to "teach me a lesson"

well the reason can vary but there is always a reason.

 

Sometimes it's you knocked over a bucket in their shop, accidentally brushed up on them, shouted near them, killed/stole/did something to one of their ally faction members.

But it's quite normal and common to happen.

What annoys me is that for me it always happens after I steal something from someone - without being bloody-well detected!  I mean, I break in undetected (and no one is inside the location at all), steal 1 item, then leave.  Not detected at all.  Then a day later, three thugs show up with a dead-or-alive note form the location's owner.  How the bloody hell did they know it was me?  Whiterun CSI...
