travelmedic Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 You'll get more help posting this in the Fallout 4 section instead of General Discussion. Second, I wouldn't be installing your games and game related materials (mods, Vortex/NMM/MO2, etc.) into your "program files" folder. I keep all of my Steam games (assuming you got it from Steam) in a separate folder, like "G:/Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout4" For each game that I'm going to mod I then have a separate folder where I install the mods and tools and mod manager, i.e. "G:/Fallout 4" Just like @Wight Zombi I really happen to like Mod Organizer 2, but Vortex can still get the job done. Either one of those is superior to NMM - they give far more control and make it easier to see how your mods are interacting or interfering with each other. If you haven't already, look for Vortex/Mod Organizer tutorials by Gopher or Gamer Poets on Youtube.

Just so you know, you had a folder permission issue. Most likely was set to read only or vortex didn't have admin rights. Edited November 13, 2023 by izzyknows
