Sexout: Fade to Black Revamped

This is a newly updated, extra-immersive version of Loogie's Sexout Fade to Black, with loads of bug fixes, tweaks and new features. All vanilla FNV sex scenes (including Benny's) are now fully animated. Please see below for the list of changes.

 

CHANGELOG

 

Version 1.0:

- Animations will now vary according to numerous factors, including PC gender and location. Most lesbian scenes will be oral.

- Player should now assume the correct position in all cases (no more paying a prostitute for the privilege of giving THEM head).

- All standard sex scenes should now occur on a nearby bed, with the exceptions of Fisto, Tyrone and Dazzle (for AI reasons).

- Added compatibility failsafes for cases where another mod moves a vanilla NPC outside their vanilla location (à la Coito Ergo Sum).

- Santiago and Beatrix will now go upstairs for their scenes (Beatrix will also get extra freaky in the private room).

- Joana will dance for you in private.

- Removed all new/unvoiced dialogue. It's all vanilla and voiced now, baby!

- Improved scripted scenes to prevent animation bugs and ensure a seamless transition between sequences (no more NPC sleeping bugs).

- Forwarded all compatible YUP fixes (plugin does not require YUP as a master).

- Corrected several spelling and grammatical errors.

- Optimised scripts.

- Released a tiny patch for bluebellfairy's Animated Sleeping, as that was the only conflict I could find in my load order.

- It is now possible to have a threesome with Santiago and Beatrix. To initiate this, the player must own the private room at the Atomic Wrangler and pay them both for their time.

- I basically rewrote everything except the Fisto scene. This is essentially a new mod, lol.

- No, I won't be doing Benny, so don't ask. That scene is hilarious as it is. I did Benny.

 

Version 1.2:

- Substantially optimised and improved almost all scripts. 
- Made Benny's scene animated (I changed my mind)!
- Gave sex toys to more prostitutes. 
- Made some scenes a bit more consequential (e.g. there's a random chance Beatrix might break one of your limbs).
- Several other tiny tweaks and improvements.
- Not really sure how much better I can make it at this point. Let me know if you find any problems.

 

Version 1.3:

- Fixed faulty script for Tyrone's scene. It should now trigger as intended.

 

Version 1.4:

- See below.

 

REQUIRED

 

SexoutNG '98 or SexoutNG '97 - I tested it on '98. SexoutSlavery.esm is not required.

JIP LN NVSE Plugin, ShowOff NVSE Plugin & JohnnyGuitar NVSE - possibly used (can't remember). You should have these anyway.

Sexout Common Resources (SCR) - Just make sure you have the base non-Sexout Store/pregnancy requirements from Ritual's guide.

 

KNOWN ISSUES

 

- Sometimes Sarah will put on her vault suit when you switch animations. This is caused by several vanilla scripts which I can't be arsed rewriting. It's also pretty true to the character, so happy days. Girl likes leather!

- I think I fixed all the rest. Let me know if you find any others.

IMPORTANT NOTES

I've done my best to keep this mod as compatible as possible, but it does edit the dialogue and scripts of 13 vanilla NPCs. You'll want to load this as late as possible to avoid any problems. All known conflicts with quest mods are addressed in Sexout: Quest Patches. 

 

If using Sexout's male nude bodysuit option alongside Improved Vanilla Male Body, you'll want to follow this guide:

        i). Install Improved Vanilla Male Body as you would normally (I recommend the green underwear option).

        ii). Manually download the nude version of the body (currently in the FOMOD) and extract it to a separate location.

        iii). Duplicate the erect version of upperbody.nif from the extracted files so that you have two copies (03-Erect/meshes/characters/_male).

        iv). Rename the two nifs to outfitmerect.nif and outfitmerectAmra.nif.

        v). Replace or overwrite the abovenamed files in your Sexout install (meshes/Armor/SexoutBodysuits).

        vi) Done! Your male characters are now seamless, look fantastic and have a stonking great erection during sex!

NVR2 Revised for the vanilla characters, T4 - Goblinas for the female player character. Type 4 and Improved Vanilla Male Body for seamless necks. It's a comfy combo.

I may look into it at a later date, but an Intimacy Overhaul addon would probably have limited functionality compared to a conventional Sexout patch. I do have an update for this mod planned for the near future, though, so an IO patch may be on the cards.

I was working on a large patch collection for popular quest mods but had to put it on hold for a while because of work. I think I was on 14 completed patches when I stopped, including the entire th3overseer series and almost all of Someguy's mods. I have a bit of free time coming up and will hopefully have it released sometime in February.

 

The current load of patches is about as advanced as the Sexout framework will allow, with better scripting than the current iteration of Fade to Black (which is also getting an update soon), so I can't wait to share it with you rascals ;)

So I recently downloaded this mod and ALL of the dependencies, however upon booting up the game (via NVMM) I'm met with a message reading,


"Sexout Fade to Black - Animated Sleeping Patch.esp is missing required files: -animated sleeping.esp"

Any Idea on where to find that? I redownloaded all versions of your mod, the original mod, Sexout NG97, SCR (all of it)... I couldn't find that esp file in ANY of them... please help me. I am at wits end after hours of redownloading and combing through mod files.

Ah, it would appear you installed the Animated Sleeping Patch without actually having Animated Sleeping installed, hence the missing masters. To be clear, that patch is entirely optional and resolves one lone conflict with this mod. I definitely should have made that clearer in the description. Sorry! 😅

 

TL;DR: Uninstall the Animated Sleeping Patch.

Congrats on the beautiful work.

 

A question, I chose to disable some of the oldest animations in SexoutAnimManagement, for compatibility issues of bodies that I use, which in my case is Roberts, I read in the bug section on the Roberts S page on the Nexus, and Alinarta recommends disabling all old animations and keeping the ones from AMPA... so this could generate some incompatibility with your mod by disabling these old animations?.

There shouldn't be any, except author could use hardcoded animation number for some scenes (I bet noone sane enough would never use any of old non-AMPA anims numbers nowadays). But even if so, Sexout will just either still play bad animation in that scene ignoring black list, or pick random one from non-blocked list (I don;t remember exactly). Nothing will break either way.

Yee, as Allnarta says, there shouldn't be any trouble. I actually removed the only hardcoded animation hook with the last update for exactly this reason. They all use flags now instead of specific references for maximum compatibility.

Crap, that's because I entered the wrong actor ref. It should work fine now with the latest update. Thanks for flagging! 

 

I should probably add that it's safe to update mid-playthrough as long as there isn't a scene currently playing.
