I'm slightly interested in moving Nudeshy X to skyrim, but I need to know what skyrim's engine is capable of before I start planning out what needs to be sacrificed or worked around.

 

I already know there is no NifSE for skyrim, so I can't make the advanced shards system.

 

I know there is no armor health, so I'll have to think of a new way to make armor break (this is huge). What'll probably happen is that it will have a chance of breaking into shards when the player is under a user specified threshold of health.

 

I don't like how greaves and cuirasses are the same thing in Skyrim, but I can get over that.

 

Is there anything I'm missing? Can I change NPC's or player's normal animations in the event of losing armor? This is also pretty huge. I can't find a "togglespecialanims" command for Skyrim. Are there any alternatives?

The Next release of ZAP Will have the Animation Idles  for " Covering Up Privates " Male and Female ,  Including two animations that can Be used while running and walking.

 

While Fighting , the Possibility is less because  , I haven't seen new Moves added other than replacing the default Animations . It maybe a bit too early  , for those 

Skyrim Uses the HKX format for animations which , Different from the existing Beth games . Im sure there maybe some tedious work arounds but research is needed

aah, so there really isn't a way to make a character use a seperate set of animations... I'm not sure that can be worked around.

 

heh, well, I guess that's the end of that. :P

 

At most I'll be able to set up a very stripped down version of Nudeshy X, but it wouldn't be nearly as good as the Oblivion version. :/

 

Oh well. It's too bad Bethesda made Skyrim less moddable than Oblivion. x_x

Im not , too good a CK work myself or scripts , 

A good way to  Explore possibilities , is Make a Custom ( Break Armour) Race and Add its own Animations and Some how Pull the custom animations from that race while fighting .

Then Again Im in over my head  , Because I not sure if things like that would work .

It sounds like it would be a pretty cool trick if it worked. Is there anyone here that can confirm if that would work or not?

 

I haven't actually bought skyrim so I can't experiment with it yet. I'm waiting to see if Nudeshy X is possible for Skyrim first.

Just to be clear, the core of Nudeshy X is that the player and NPC's will become "nudeshy" when they are naked. Their animations change to covering animations while walking, running, and idle (also during any animation that does not take full priority over the character left arm).

 

What I need to be able to do to make Nudeshy X for skyrim is change the character's animations on the fly between regular and nudeshy animations depending on if they are nude or not. ToggleSpecialAnims coupled with update3d allowed me to do this in Oblivion quite easily. The reason why I might not even be able to start this project is Skyrim doesn't seem to have anything like this (yet?).

 

The race thing seems interesting, but in order to do on the fly animation changing, I would need a way to make a copy of the race of the character that is naked with the special nudeshy animations, switch it to the copy race (so the character's visuals stay completely intact), then update3d. As far as I have found with the research into Skyrim's default functions and SKSE documentation, there isn't a way to do this quite yet, unfortunately. :(

 

Still, it's very close. All I need is a way to make characters switch to the new animations and back on the fly and I might have a way to make Nudeshy X for Skyrim.

Aren't "Behavior Variables" introduced in FNIS 4 able to do animation switching? I'm not really sure, it's just how i understand "Behavior Variables".

"Arm Offset Animations" might be of interest in case of NudeShy too. If someone has an idea how to make them.

Hm.... you know, after doing a little bit of research on FNIS, that might actually be what I need to get Nudeshy X to work in Skyrim.

 

At first I thought it could be strictly for standing idles and poses, and then I saw this:

Go to this thread and ask Fore, he is the acknowledged expert in Skyrim animations since it's pretty much his work that's made it all possible.
