CBO Patch for Community Flavor Pack

Community Flavor Pack (CBO Patch)

Makes Community Flavor Pack's Clothes/Cloaks/Legwear compatible with Character Body Overhaul.

In LoversLab, this mod can be found under the name CBO Patch for Community Flavor Pack in the file downloads and forum to avoid confusion with the CBO Community Patch.

NOTE: BUILT AGAINST THE AUGUST 22, 2023 RELEASE OF Community Flavor Pack

Mod Author Notes

  • All .asset/.txt files are formatted with tabs with 4 spaces. Please keep that in mind when viewing .asset/.txt files in this mod.

Excellent timing. My intention for today was to either remove CFP or work out how to make it compatible with whatever it was that it was incompatible with.

 

Only spotted one bad cloak so far. Better Barbershop says it is the default cloak (dark blue, fancy looking, short, western?).

 

EDIT: After several hours I have only come across cloaks with the stretching physics. It seems to be the same cloak.

 

Is there any sort of guide anywhere on how to make a compatch?

Holy fuck thanks my man, I love you, I'm making my modlist right now and just had the idea to check if for some miracle CFP had a patch, thanks again.

This is my load order ending and i'm crashing when opening the game. Any help?

(same happens without the ethnicities patch)

Firstly, thank you for all your work and contribution to the community! I can finally start a playthrough since the launch of T&T.

Compatch is great, I only saw some problems - already highlighted above - with Javanese clothing, some cloaks and legwear.

Furthermore, I missed the CFP headgear, rulers like the Pope have nothing on their heads.

Another noteworthy point is that some legwear (i.e., African legwear) does not come off when the carnal court make love scene start. But I think this could be something from the CBO itself.

If you can send the complete modlist, we can know if any mod is in conflict with this compatch.

I created a new playlist with just the basics and it still crashes at startup.... 

my problem must be something deeper

Do you mean when the CK3 is starting up or when your new game is loading in?

Unfortunately, there's none that I know of. I only went by my knowledge of CK2 modding and did some trial and error. I also lurked in gfx-3d-modelling channel in the CK3 Mod Co-op Discord server, asking a few questions here and there. Lastly, when it comes to patching meshes, it really helps if you know your way around in Blender and it's a big plus if you understand a bit of Maya (since the assets are built with it in mind and the rig is based on Maya's joint system).

I will try to patch those in the community patch. There's a bunch of blendshapes that need updating and probably some code. I don't completely understand how genes work as of yet since sometimes they do what I want but other times they don't. So those will probably get patched later than the next DLC update.

Is your Character Body Overhaul using the replacement method of the community patch? If so, there are some users experiencing CTDs when they do that and use the load-order version of the community patch. Apparently, the game doesn't like replacing the files with the same files.

You can do one of these two or both:

  • Maximum Path Length Limitation - Win32 apps | Microsoft Learn
  • Use Irony Mod Manager
    • If you have another drive (preferably an SSD) create a folder on the root or near the root
    • Move your mods to that folder
      • Don't include the .mod files
      • Exclude the ones from steam or if you want to save a version of a steam workshop mod you can do so
    • Extract the mod to that folder
    • Tell Irony to use that as a custom mod folder and it will regenerate the .mod files to point to that location

For the time being, since I haven't made a CFP+EPE+CBO patch yet, move the CFP+EPE Compatibility Patch down below. I'd suggest you mirror how CFP and EPE are in the load order:

  • CBO
  • CBO Community Patch
  • CFP (CBO Patch)
  • EPE (CBO Patch)
  • CFP+EPE Compatibility Patch
  • CBO Animations+ and its other variant is a submod so put it below any of the patches, otherwise, you might overwrite the asset files which unfortunately gets overwritten often just to add a blendshape or an animation.

Download and use 7-zip, or pretty much any other compression utility (that isn't WinRar).

i was having the same problem as tom cucker and followed your instructions on load order but it still does not want to work unless i only use cfp or epe, not both at once. so im looking forward to your patch and until then ill only use cfp with cbo or vice versa.

Most of the clothes work but the various plate armors (like the Churburg) have odd lines sprouting out from them.

 

EDIT: Checked the known issues tab, and what do you know, it's already there! My apologies to the mod author.
