Hello guys,

 

Ongoing work, here I will upload banner replacers

 

Here is the Part 1, covering : All city holds banners (exception of Windhelm, cause I ran into issues with its weird normal map pathing, need to solve that first), both Imperial and Stormcloak war banners ( at their war camps) ; the winterhold Mage College banner ; Arkay's banner (in Falkreath) ; the Greybeard banner.

 

Theses banners are kinda designed to work along my Guard Shield replacer, sticking to the same general idea

 

Textures are 1k ; all are in preview

 

Credits to the orginal artists for the art used and to both KEBW1144 and JDAnchor for the mod I based my work on : Designs of the Nords SE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) (not needed) 

 

Let me know if you run into any problem ( with screens!) and what you think ; as always not perfect but i'm happy to listen to feedback, enjoy !

Hey, glad you enjoy ! Could you be more precise about the stuff you're referring to ? Each mural uses 4 different textures, I'm adding here in spoiler an illustration to help ?
ps: i'd prefer if you post in the correct topic, no fuss though

Oh sorry, I don't know how these "topics" work, where is this for future reference?

 

I am suggesting each mural has unique textures and from the image you’ve shown me it *should* be possible. Texture 1 is shared between all murals so make it generic sexy Viking ladies but I assume textures 2, 3 and 4 are different each time so each mural has images of women (and men?*) having sex with Dragons, another with Wolves/ Werewolves, another with Horses.

 

You could even tie them to the original designs, women being sacrificed to the Nordic animal gods! Fox, Bear, Hawk (sexy lady riding and eagle?) Wolf, Moth (oviposition?) Whale, Owl, Snake (vore?) Dragon. I’m sure you can find sexy images of each animal

 

 *If you can’t find images of women having sex with the animals you could use monster girls having sex with men? Whales - Mermaids, Moth - Fairy, Hawk/ Owl - Harpy.

 

If you do do this would you mind a mention in the description, ideas from Lilith.Monstrum or something like that  Again I love your work and hope you continue to sexify skyrim!

Love your work. Windows defender keeps telling me this is a virus. It may be a false positive, but perhaps re-zip it?

That was my thought, but figured it was worth re-zipping in case others had it flagged as well.

What's cool is that this mod is the only one I know ever that actually replaces those banners on various rocks that blow in the wind. Amazing!

I dont know if u finalized the solitude banner but i thought id ask would u be open to making one thats similar (like a 3rd ver) to compliment your imperial and castle dour banners closer? I love the one in castle dour especially shame i can only see it in that one area because its beautiful. The palace of the kings banner is soo good as well

can someone please help me, this mod makes my game crash, even if i start a new game it crashes, fixes when i disable this mod, there is nothing conflicting this mod either

4K, probably never - most banners are ranging from 1k to 2k in general; I might try to go up on previous uploads and continue with 2k as it's far easier to work on indeed

That's impossibruh. I mean, this mod is literally just texture files, nothing more nothing less, so it should be totally crash-free as far as i know. Or maybe your pc is actually censoring it to preserve your innocence ?

Oh No they are related, the banner is definitely good for solitude. I was more so asking for a possible alt ver of solitude banner where the blonde/blackhaired girl  u have used in both the imperial and castle dour areas was more so the center piece of the flag since i like the image and am less of an animal guy ? 

 

or an alt version of the stormcloak banner that uses the windhelm city flag image possibly because i think that one looks really nice. No matter the decision i appreciate your mood its made alot of places much cooler

Ahh I see - maybe i'll try something different if many people share your point of view, as you might have guessed i'm sticking as close as i can to the original idea of the city emblems, so in my mind the solitude banner has to have a wolf somewhere, and has to be mainly red. But who knows, maybe i'll try something more along the line of what I did with the new Potema banner, keeping the animal but not going for bestiality stuff

I love your work but for some reason some of your banners have white backgrounds when used by mods? I have seen other banners as well (the one with "merchant" on it) but I have also seen the same banner in places working just fine. Any idea why? (It is the same on the other side of the modded banner, I checked)

... AH... I absolutely have 0 idea ; maybe they don't use the same normalmap in these instances ? Hm probably not that though, I'm sorry I really can't help you, I'm basically a monkey painting stuff on banners and signs  anything too technical might be a struggle for me. Maybe some other people can help us to understand ?

 

On a side note , I realised there were some issues with a few banners (the "red banner" and dwemer rug) which i'll probably replace when I have the time and update the file here

Would it be possible to get these as a cape replacer for Cloaks of the Nords (it takes the cloaks of skyrim mod and replaces the texure with Designs of the Nords)

i stumbled upon that background color bug myself when i reworked a few of the banners ... not sure what exactly causes it.

 

but from experimenting around i think there are 2 bugs:

 

 

1. black background:

this happened for me with the banners in the palace of the kings.

i could fix it by opening the meshes for the banners in nifscope and adding an alpha node.

 

quick steps:

• unpack the relevant skyrim bsa to get the model
• open the file in nif scope
• Go down the node tree of the models BsTriShape into BSShaderTextureSet and change the normal maps filepath (they were for some reason using the civil war banner)
• Rightclick the BSTriShape->Node->AttachProperty->NiAlphaProperty
• And finally in BsLightingShaderProperty set the flag for "Greyscale_to_PaletteColor"

this fixed the problem for me in the palaceofkings.

 

mesh files as attachment, in case someone wants to use them as example to copy from.

 

 

2. white background:

for me, this happened with a banner that already had an alpha node and it only happened to certain references of it.

the fix was for me to load up xedit and search for the reference (not the baseid) of that banner and removing the "xalp - alpha" entry.

 

 

hope it helps, but i am pretty sure this is just treating symptoms not the cause.

as a positive this is the only mod that had this issue for me so far ... the murals and dragon stones and such seem to work in modded cells (at least in my modlist)
