anjenthedog Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 (edited) Well last night was the third time I've seen this. I tunnel my way down into an area where the Falmer are strong, and sure enough, there's another wench shackled to the wall. I go to talk them (in the hope I can free them) and they just respond with a bar wench's "How can I help you?" best I could do is solicit them, then add as follower, then dodge out of the area and drop them as a follower later. Anyone recognize this behavior, and/or happen to know what might be producing it? I DID recently installed Unlimited Hostile Encounters. Is that it? Edited October 10, 2023 by anjenthedog
traison Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Typically I see this in my own mods when the conditions for dialogue do not match. I would start by finding the dialogue branch you're expecting to see, checking its conditions, then inspecting the NPC (if needed) to see what the problem is. Could be a missing faction, or the NPC not being assigned to a quest alias.
anjenthedog Posted October 10, 2023 Author Posted October 10, 2023 (edited) Thanks for the reply @traison. Sorry, I must not have composed my query correctly. I don't care that some specific dialog is being said, I'm interested in finding out why, relatively suddenly, that I'm discovering naked wenches shackled to walls in falmer held territory. I didn't even realize I'd ever be seeing live falmer slaves. The most I'd found before this was dead bodies of their victims, and even then it was rare. But admittedly, finding one who is a) alive, and b) doesn't even say "Please, get me out of here" was and is weird. Edited October 11, 2023 by anjenthedog typo
Fotogen Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 In console select NPC and based on ID, you can find out from which mod they come from? If ID is 8 letter hex code, 1st 2 letters are load order.
