Mr.Flingingfeces Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 So I thought it would be a good idea for those of us that can't run a maxed out bells and whistles enb to have a place where we can share tweaks,  files and that sort of thing.  Here's a couple of enb collages I made using files from Saraan Suum,  CLE and my own.  I call it BOSS XD  One thing is you might want to turn down your brightness I use a little more bloom than some people might like.  BOSS performance Enb.rar  Pros-  SSAO without killing fps Added gloss to characters DoF without killing fps  Cons- No Sub surface scattering No Water effects   There are two variations.  Real and Fantasy.  I disabled adaptation and tweaked the palette to make up for it so there would be a nice little 3-4 fps increase.  Just back up your files and copy mine over.  Easy as Pie.  Examples  Real   Fantasy   Â
Mr.Flingingfeces Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Cool let me know what you think.
Veladarius Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 You can speed up pretty much any ENB by opening the ENB console and turning off the AntiAliasing, DOF and Ambient Occlusion. I usually keep them off and I am getting 43 fps outside Lakeview Manor and turning them on drops it to 24 fps.
Mr.Flingingfeces Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 What's you're resolution if I might ask? Â Enb performs very differently at lower resolutions than it does at higher ones. Â For instance HD textures on I get 30-40 at 1280x720, Â but at 1920x1080 I get slapped back down to 20-25. Â Also some people don't mind being without DoF, Â but I gotta have it. Â Them sum ugly ass sharp mountain peeks and fugly trees otherwise. XD
Arcanic_Eye Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Visual wise it's not bad, but both don't have the kind of color palette I like. Plus with the amount of mods I have I still get up to 20fps at most in-game, even with DOF and AO off, same as any other ENB I use.
Nightwynd Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 pretty good! I prefer the fantasy one XD. I am currently playing in windowed mode and this lets me have 40-50 FPS around Whiterun
Veladarius Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I run at 1920 x 1200 and I use primarily 1K textures for the most part and I don't notice any real difference with or without AA or AO. The ENB I used as a base was The Eye of the Beholder ENB and I would use the DOF but it makes everything blurry in 3rd person including my character. I have also turned on the Use Original Post Processing so nightvision works.  Here are my ENB Series and ENB Local files with my settings for ENB v221. I have made a lot of adjustments to the Ambient Lighting color filters as well as a number of other things since I turned off the Ambient Occlusion.  enbseries.zip  Â
Mr.Flingingfeces Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Well I have good news.  For those of you running the game at a higher resolution or in window mode and having the 20fps of death I have a nice little work around so you can enjoy Dof and a 0 fps drop altogether.  I shall make this as easy as possible so links are included.  1-  download SKSE v1.6 or greater  http://skse.silverlock.org/  2-  download Sky UI v3.0 or greater  http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D3863%26preview%3D&pUp=1  3-  download dynavision dynamic depth of field  http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12525//?  4-  download this d3d9.dll file and pute into your game directory and overwrite  d3d9.rar  4-  check and make sure in your skyrimprefs.ini  and make sure you have bDepthOfField=1  5-  disable dof in enb.ini  6-  play the game with any Enb now and with 0 fps loss.   The only cons to me of this are that you will no longer be able to use SSAO, Dof or Gloss from the enb itself.  For gloss check out this amazing little mod.  http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5437/?    Â
johnnyboy88 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Umm. I'm confused...  Pros-  SSAO without killing fps Added gloss to characters DoF without killing fps  Cons- No Sub surface scattering No Water effects No  Ambient Occlusion  How can a pro be SSAO and a con be No AO?   You do know that SSAO stands for Screen Space Ambient Occlusion right? or was it a typo? Also. SSAO and DOF are two of the most intensive performance hungry options available.
Mr.Flingingfeces Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 I'm going to go with it was a typo.
Camila Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 This looks pretty cool. I will be using for now =)
Uno Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Use Dynavision with caution. I used in the past without problems, but a large number of people report savegame bloat issues...
