Problem with Acheron, creature defeat doesn't work as intended.

Hello, so first of all I need to start by saying I'm not a modder or a developper and know next to nothing about it.

When I install a mod, I just follow the install instructions. I know a bit about load order but most of the time, I don't pay much attention to it because my Skyrim works fine.

Recently, I've installed Acheron and Simple Assault and I've enabled creature defeat in the MCM menu.

Next, I've set the weight of Simple Assault to 100 because this is what I want to test out, this is the part that doesn't work as intented.

I'm defeated by a draugr like seen in the next screenshot but my character goes quickly into bleedout/defeated state and stands up again before she even gets one knees on the ground, with the "you have a few seconds to run" notification.

I have also done what's advised by the author of the mod on

But it still doesn't work. I've tried many differents things, re-register animations, disabling/enabling back creature framework and so on but I can't seem to find the problem.

I've look a bit on the forum but I didn't find someone with the same problem as me so I'm posting here.

If the screenshot above, when the draugr fus ro dah's me and sends my characters flying, she will get "Simply assaulted" so I don't understand why that doesn't work after I take a hit and go into bleedout/defeat state.

I'm sorry I'm not able to provide with some debug logs or stuff like that because as I said, I'm not very good at that sort of stuff and I don't know where to look for that kind of things. I tend to look at my solutions for myself before posting on forum but when it comes to load orders and debug stuff, even when reading tutos online, I'm kinda lost. Besides, I have downloaded Ordalys collection, so it's a lot of mods.

Thank you for reading this far. This post is more like sharing my experience than looking for help because I can still surrender with the "SLDefeat" mod but I'd still love to find a solution to this.

Heyho,

you just could have asked in the help thread of my outcomes ^^ The thing is, I don't really know myself, why creatures don't work reliably. Hence why it's still beta. Human aggressors do assault you as they should, yes?

Hello and thanks for the reply.

Well, yes and no, they do assault me normally when I'm alone, but I play with Lucien Flavius at the moment, and when he's around, that seems to break the mod, but I'm not 100% sure it's Lucien's fault.

Also, I've had a problem with the quick defeat settings, I tried to set it up to 0 days so that when I test the defeat system, they wouldn't skip the event and go straight to the release, but no matter how I change the settings, they would always revert back to default. (that only applies to quick defeat threshold, quick defeat skip events and quick defeat remote release.

So what I did is set up those settings,image.jpeg.8c8e7806149f395349ee6df14722c03f.jpeg

walk up to the bandits, they attack me but put me in a defeat/bleedout state but my character gets up quickly, they then defeat Lucien but then ignores me like I wasn't there, saying "Who's there" and looking for somebody.

image.jpeg.df1d347ab0cc5f868be6c11385349059.jpeg

And just after that I open the MCM menu to see that the quick defeat event settings reverted back to default. image.jpeg.8db118cf054a1690c5e9cd9ebf43a65e.jpeg

The default for Quick Defeat Threshold is 2D (does it mean 2 days ?) so at least when I sleep 2 days and come back to them, they don't skip events so that's a good thing.

Also this is my settings for Acheron defeat tab, I post it there just in case something is wrong with what I did. image.jpeg.6dcf6ce7e803a19766c11d10f1148ab2.jpeg

So yeah, I don't know for sure, I did some testing (only in game, that's all I can do with my knowledge), but nothing really conclusive except Lucien is the problem. Although, when I'm defeated because Lucien is far away, the bandit will still go looking for him saying "let's find someone to entertain your friend here" and tie him up.

Neither Acheron nor Practical Defeat are by me, so no idea there...

The only thing there: it's generally a bad idea to run two different defeat mods at the same time, maybe this breaks things for you. Or is Practical Defeat an outcome addon for Acheron?

Practical Defeat is one of the outcomes of Acheron Defeat, but yes, there might be something conflicting somewhere.

I feel like the game spends more time than usual looking for animation to play, so I'm trying to rebuild SexLab.

Anyway, thank you for your help. ^^

+1 to the issue with creature defeat described by StrayPaolo, the events he described when being defeated by creatures is 100% consistent with what I have found as well. Knocked down, no animation playing, stands back up and tells you to run. I have triple checked all mods, load order, and double checked that creature anims work fine using matchmaker. Creature defeat does not work with this mod, but it works perfectly well with humans.

Okey, I figured out! It was Sexlab Cum Overlays problem! I move it before sexlab in MO2 files. And It works nice! Finally, I really like Naked Defeat! Works good! Better then Acheron!

Works even with MNC!
