Skeleton key with infinite durability?

I'm pretty good at lockpicking, been doing it in skyrim ever since the game came out, I can usually open any expert and under lock without breaking a fresh pick without any perks or adept and under locks with 15 lockpicking. But what is the point of the skeleton key if it does "break" and resets. I have hundreds of lockpicks, it would actually be useful if it didn't "break".

what are you on about? the skeleton key never breaks or resets. you must have a mod fucking with your key.

Or added it via console, which makes the key work like a regular lockpick.

I have a mod which allows you to carbon copy it before giving it to Karliah. Maybe thats the issue.

Now I should probably figure out how to redo this.
