It sounds similar to most MMOs I have dealt with, in the aspect that you have to "grind" forever in the hope of maybe getting what you need to progress. I was big time into SWTOR, but left it for this very reason. I have a lvl 50 Sentinel and could not get what was needed to do HM's and no groups will let you in without the "Right" stuff, I also had one of my crafting skills "Artifice" stuck at 398, would never move to 400. I have to admit though this game does look interesting and has a definitely nice looking Alien-esk style to it.

You should see the grinding in World of Tanks (a.k.a World of Fantasy Tanks) with a non premium account. For example, grinding from the fully upgraded Tank destroyer Elephant to the Jagdtiger is a hefty 163k xp, with minimal xp gain each match. Not to mention grinding extra just to be able to buy the said Tank destroyer).

Grinding? Not sure what your on about there. Never had to grind once

 

Getting stuff in Warframe is easy if you know how to do it correctly.

 

Right now farming the stalker for a ultra weapon drop, now that's grinding  Been trying to get the HATE weapon for a friend for over 3 days now.

Personally I liked it better 5 months ago actually 6 months now. They need to scale the strength of the enemies based on the playing style you are on i.e. the enemies in solo play should not be the same strength as the enemies you would be fighting in group play.

I also think they have some huge balance issus when it comes to solo or party play. I get the impression the amount players that are in a mission dosen't have any influence the hp's of the enemys and/or their number (which is random). So mission in with a party can get quite easy and when you solo them it can get quite hard manly due to the number of enemies.

But I'm only on the second planet Venus so it may change later in the game.

 

And coming from a game like Shadow Warrior I have to say the close combat is deadfull, it's very easy to lose overview. Also there are some basic stealth mechanics like sneaking and stealth kill, but due to the lack of feed back how well you are hidden, alternativ routs like ventilation shafts and no other way to deactivate cameras than shooting at them, those stealth mechancs are useless.

 

Last but not least they designed Venus as an planet covered in snow and ice. Realy? Is it so hard to have a short look at Wikipedia befor you start creating an enviroment?

I have actually gotten back to the game. Have forged a few new weapons and gotten Valkyr ( ) and waiting for Oberon to be finished.

Sure, a few new levels, but same old farming. Same old enemies (okay,a a few new bosses) same old gameplay.

 

We see how long I stick around this time. Unless they bring back my beloved Infested with their own planets/Star charts I wont be around for much longer.
