Hi all,

 

WHAT:

This is a Ketaros Addon mod, which adds 100 collectible trading cards into the wasteland for you to discover and display at your Vault-tec certified collection poster.

 

WHY:

Why not?

 

Installation:

You need Ketaros framework (Tested with V2.3)

And this fix for ketaros stuff (Tested with V2.8.4)

Well, I came up with the promt and pressed the button. And I did post work in Photoshop. Also, technically, I paid for the power cost of my graphics card generating this, so is it similar to using power tools vs hand tools in construction? (A whole other discussion)

Vault Girl Lora, partially some others and a good fitting main model.

Yup. Tried to rectify the worst ones. Let me know if I overlooked some particulary bad ones.

 

Just FYI: Because that question comes up some times: "Why do you use AI generated art and not 'real' art?" (In different conotations)

I needed over 100 differnt images of Vault girl (100 for the cards alone and additionally some for the poster and some extra to have choices)

With a going rate of currently around 25 to 50$ for custom made art by artists this would have cost me several thousand dollars to make, which I would have never be getting back, even if it would have been the greatest mod in the world for years to come. Also, I don't have thousands of dollars laying around to waste on a few images.

Is this bad for artists income base?: maybe. I wouldn't have made the purchase anyways, so there is no income lost.

Is this better for the users?: You get a mod (for free) which you wouldn't have gotten otherwise, although the quality is probably lower than with hand drawn art from artists.

 

 

That beeing said, if you find glaring issues (e.g. very bad hands), please report them. I usually post process any ai art anyways (since AI is usually not the solution to everything, but a tool on the way), but I might very well have missed something.

Stable diffusion 1.5.

The tricky part with AI is not which software to use, but how.

AI is a tool (much like any other physical tool, e.g. a saw or a knife). It is way more important to know 'how' to use it properly (what it can and can't do, what are its strengths and limitations).

 

You can get an expensive powered saw, but if you don't know anything about sawing, your results will still be worse than those of an experienced carpenter with a cheap hand saw. (And you might loose some fingers in the process, so don't try it out)

 

Same goes for AI: You can get the nicest models and even buy expensive subscriptions to generation services, but it still might not get you what you want.

good prompt engeneering comes with experience, and with experience come better models (which you unfortunately have to train yourself, or at least fit for your needs).

 

Also: please don't use AI subscription services. They are fucking expensive. Get yourself a mid to high end graphics cards and run it locally.

Yes exactly, but already SFW.
And there are definitely more posters that feature the Vaultboy that would need to be replaced, so the mod I linked you to is the better example.

In Neo's Vault Girl mod, he pretty much stuck to the original depiction of Vaultboy, which is how I would want it.
Of course, I don't mind an additional NSFW version, which I'm sure some people will like, but I prefer an SFW version.

I haven't found any cards in-game yet, but hopefully soon...!

 

With regards to the hands, I very much recommend  https://civitai.com/models/56519/negativehand-negative-embedding.  It helps a lot.

Glad to see you came to LL!   I have been running your mods since the Sci FI and Western collections came out.   Even with the bug where the old cards from previous versions are still showing up in world (on a new game), but...I am like eh...oh well.

 

Also....did you use some of Olivia De Berardinis work?   While I love your almost NSFW touch, I would have loved to see some R rated ones as well.     Anyway, now you gave me yet another card collection that I won't get done   (some day I might make it to the Institute but there is just so much other stuff to do in FO4).

With regards to the hands, I very much recommend  https://civitai.com/models/56519/negativehand-negative-embedding.  It helps a lot.

I'm currently using another negative embedding for the images, but will have a look at this one. Mine is unfortunately better suited for realistic images than these stylized ones.

The cards are distributed randomly by ketaros framework. Check containers, shelfes and usual points of interest (one possible spot is in V111, overseers room on the shelf, another one just outside V111 on the overwatch position)

There might be some confusion here. I'm not ketaros, I just did an addon using his framework.

Maybe, maybe not, maybe I will also make a replacer, maybe not.

Don't hold your breath for those, I'm somewhat RL constrained in the amount if time I can spend on such things and if I don't like the result I wont publish it

Well, something's off.   have found two card so far, and they're both this guy.  Also, the posted is just a copy of the existing pinup poster?

Nah, that looks like he textures are not found (I use the material swap system, so it defaults back when the textures are not found)

Can you please check if you have all three of these files in your data folder:

The archives don't seem to work right in some cases. I uploaded a new loose file version, that should work
