Trouble Modifying My Skyrim SE Game with X-Edit - Need Guidance

I'm relatively new to modding and have recently started using X-Edit to tweak my Skyrim Special Edition game.I'm trying to modify a few NPC records to make some characters in my game more immersive, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it in X-Edit. I've watched a few tutorials, but I'm still a bit confused. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

More immersive can mean a lot of things. You need to be specific.

What exactly you need guidance for? Copy-over? Grab the record with a mouse and drag it.

Anything else, you have to clarify. xEdit is basically a large, eccentric spreadsheet. Whatever is on the far right, wins the conflict and applies in your game. If you can do Excel, you can do xEdit.
