XxSLaYeRZzxX Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 So, I have a bit of an issue. I was planning to install BOSSE, however, you need to use bodyslide presets that you then convert through jBS2BG. The issue is... I have the templates and the morphs inis, but, in my genius, I somehow ended up without presets themselves, thus my question is: Is there a way to import templates.ini into jBS2BG, or maybe there is a fairly quick way to turn the file into separate presets? I do know I can do it separately by hand, but I do have a fair amount of the presets included in the templates, so it'd be quite time-consuming.
Gameplayer Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 I just use Obody Standalone, It is a lot less work to make it functional. Using TBD body, made a standard body template but tweaked the zero body on the template. From there I exported all sliders using the enhanced default template I made. Then created about 7 more templates, now this time only thought about the 100 body, since Obody only looks at the 100 body for its target actually. It does a blend from the mesh. Obody does not consider the zero body of any templates only the 100 body. After that well you have bodies randomly distributed and if you dont like the result on a particular character, just hit f10 an a list of your templates loads up and you select one. Trouble with Bosse, is the whole making a jbs2bg and well I am sure you can figure it out eventually, but Obody already does a fair enough job of body template distribution it just reads the available templates you have made right in your preset folder for bodyslide. IF it is installed into MO its not a problem either just have the folder structure for bodyslide as a file itself in MO and done. I suppose Bosse does other things too, cant remember them all, thing is you can just use EFF standalone Menu to change up NPCs in Racemenu, so all the other things that BOSSE does is also something you can find an easier mod for as well.

Yeah, I had my eyes on Obody as well, although was thinking I'll ask about BOSSE first, since, as you mentioned, it does seem to have some more features included. Also, while I'm at it, I was wondering about BodyGen itself. I did put the templates and morphs inside Skyrim.esm folder, but I'm not entirely convinced it everything works (thus me checking for mods that distribute the bodies to begin with).

All I can say about Bodygen is its a pain. I did not want to mess around with it when it came to wanting to force say an NPC such as Lydia from one body shape to another one. With Obody and EFF Stand Alone I can force any female npc to any shape I want. I think the major selling point of Bodygen is global race shape values, and that will take time to set up and you will still have the issue of what to do if you get tired of companion npc.
Gameplayer Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 So this here, is BOSSE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21029 Bosse wants you to get a bunch of texture files from sites that it provides no links for so that you can make the females have 13 different texture sets. You set up, Bodygen, You set up, underwears... You have to download pubic hairs.... Every feature is something that you have to find assets for. I use Touched by Dibella body, already has built in muscle sliders that work on the mesh. 3BA also does mesh muscles but TBD is clear winner. Obody Standalone, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58755 -Standalone, does not need the whole Osex line of mods, it works by itself and can be used with SEXLAB. TBD/3BA Punic Hair SOS bodyslides, https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/21922-tbd3ba-pubichair-sos-bodyslide-sos-female-pubic-hairs-colored-for-npcs/ -These are 3d pubic hair rather than the flat 2d texture that BOSSE will use -Works with SOS! -Have a load of links for pubic hair mods such as ones that cause the PC to have to trim her pubes. EFF standalone cosmetic menu, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19353#:~:text=About this mod,Face Paint categories from Racemenu. -This allows you to open showracemenu on your female npc in game! So between all of that the only net benefit that BOSSE gives you is the option to have -underwear system -13 female body textures that by the way you have to download and install in proper BOSSE folder -Bosse also gives you the opportunity to have to install all of its features without help! There is really no advantage to swapping out body textures, most of them are complete crap and have aweful nipples. -TBD texture provided by Milkdrinker in his TBD mod has best nipples, works with CBBE btw. I dont care how much better the pictures are for all the other skins either, if the nipples dont look right why use em? Anyway, my point in posting this is that I thought all that through because back then I was thinking about using BOSSE, but that is a lot of work to get it working and I need this stuff to be fully functional with a wide variety of mods, not fighting if the underwear will come off or whatever in sexlab. BOSSE is a complete overhaul of female, and its not even ready 2 go out of the box. And I can get all of its features somewhere else an better with less work using those mods.

Well, thanks for the help. Decided to go with Autobody for now, as it also seems quite solid, but I'll keep OBody in my mind, just in case. I also wasn't aware that there's a separate cosmetic menu that doesn't require the whole EFF to be installed, so that's also great to know. I have been having some problems with female pubes not being distributed properly, so maybe those bodyslides will help, hopefully. It's weird though, as the schlongs get distributed properly.
anjenthedog Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 (edited) FWIW, you can also consider installing The Manipulator for a hook into direct NPC Racemenu modifications. Works off targeting the NPC and then hitting an associated hotkey defined in its MCM to open the instance of Racemenu I used to have Bosse installed, I uninstalled it because of something, don't recall what, I *think back when I was first having issues with over-sized hands and slot 32 glow (which were both eventually addressed by other means, since it wasn't apparently at fault). But anyway, it was ok when I had it. Don't feel any pressing need to defame it, that's for sure. (cough) Edited August 17, 2023 by anjenthedog typo
