Hey everyone,

 

I've got a really good idea for a mod, or at least I think so. In the game you can romance each of the companions, each companion has (as far as I know) 3 romance scenes each. But by romancing one companion it may lock you out of romancing others. And each romance scene can only be viewed once after meeting some specific conditions. The 3 romance scenes are split across each act, so romance 1 is in act 1, with romance 2 been in act 2 and romance 3 been in act 3.

 

My idea for a mod is simple. Add a new set of dialog options that lets you play the romance scene when every you want (and more than once).

 

So for example usually you have to have a specific affection level with the companion and have done some quests for them. Then you talk to them in your camp and they usually give you the option to say ok to that acts romance scene, then telling you to go to bed. After going to bed you trigger the romance scene. After that its over and you cant do that romance again.

 

So the mod would basically add a new permeant dialog option. Allowing you to talk to any of the companions in camp, with out needing to have done any specific quests or having any specific amount of affection. For example the new dialog line would says something like "Hey lets have sex" then a new set of options would be given where you can pick from the romance scene from act 1, act 2 or act 3.

 

After picking the romance scene you would like, the mod would then kick in and load your right in to the romance scene. Regardless of affection or quests done. Then with it been permeant set of dialog options you can go back and ask for it over and over for how ever many times you would like.

 

And bonus points if having the romance doesn't trigger any of the other companions to loose affection with you, and for it not to advance to the next day after. As usually the romance scene is trigged when going to bed, so after the romance it advances to the next day.

 

And lastly for extra bonus points. There are a handful of one night stands you can have, as you come across some specific characters. But again these romances can only be done once, and triggering them could have you loose affection with your companions. Or if you haven't acted in a specific way these one night stands characters might not even offer sex when you come across them.

 

So it would be cool to have them have a new dialog that works in the same way, allows you to ask them for the romance scene. Also might me cool if its possible to have these one night stand characters spawn in a stationary spot in your camp so you can ask them from camp for the sex when ever you like, instead of having to find them in game. That way you know where they are at all times.

 

Anyway thats my idea for a mod. No idea if its possible but I think it would be a really cool and fun mod if it can be done.

I also wish that some of the characters wasn't so picky about whom player has been fooling around with earlier. So a mod that could disable other companions knowing about your relation-status with camp-members. I know Shadowheart can be picky if I go too far with other companions... :(

A simplified suggestion, to avoid the dialog part of the mod; There is a cane in the vanilla game. A mod could add magical spells to that item to infuse it with Act1, 2 or 3-scenes, and player could smack companion with it to trigger the game to generate the cut-scene (if player has experienced that scene with character before?). Need to avoid using "Go to bed" function of the game, due to potential conflict with other part of the game.

Id prefer the dialog option if it is possible, but if its not then this would be a good backup idea. Using an item on someone to trigger the cut scene.

This game has so much code that's interdependent/conditional that I'm not sure how much modding can be done without breaking something. It's already pretty buggy vanilla. This and other ideas are good ones, just not sure they can be done before the game is much more stable and modders have a better understanding of how it's put together.
