Which DLCs are essential for playing with WW?

Background: EA changed the license from what it was when bought (i.e. your whole household could play at concurrently to only one player at a time) after the fact. It's a violation of contract law, but EA is what EA is.  So, If both my daughter and I want to play at the same time, I gotta buy the stuff again under a new EA account. Thus, I'm looking for the fun stuff and not the stuff I never play e.g. "dine out" which is boring and  never really used it. I also don't like that EA can force mod breaking updates on people, like I guess Horsies did. I regard EA as unethical for violating contract law and they get away with it because no one has the money to call them on it in court. I totally understand WHY they're doing this, to prevent a dozen people sharing their EA account with buddies and thus sharing games, but they should have thought of that before creating the contract for the terms of sale in the first place.

What are the DLC that WW uses? and what do I lose if I don't buy them?

I'm thinking base game (free or $10 for Digital Deluxe upgrade ), Get together (for sex parties), get to work (isn't that required for something?) , strangerville (cuz it's fun and maybe something positive will happen with the mother plant),  vampires (got a thing for what's her name), and realm of magic (cuz magic).

Anything else I should buy again? Not sure why I should get seasons ($40). The ones I've named come to $150, and I don't like EA anymore so I don't want to throw any more money at them than I need to.

I haven't bought any of the DLC, only started with Sims 4 when it went free to play and picked up WW some time after that.  So far, I think I am missing Go to Work for the various porn or prostitute job mobs, camgirl and related gameplay and maybe the Get Together, if that is the one that lets you make clubs.  I haven't come across any mods that I can remember that needed that, though I think there are some nudity related aspects of WW that would use that.

  • 2 weeks later...

Okay... Steam sale. So, I got the free Sims 4 base game. Got get together, realm of magic, paranormal (for "para" normal game play) and I must have bought "High School Years" on that second glass (big glass) of wine cuz I didn't remember I bought that until now.

I'm happy with it.

  • Creating a 2nd EA account was with some difficulty and 5 tries. I'm leaving my old origin account for my daughter to use, if she ever gets back to playing Sims 4.
  • Don't miss the other packs.
  • Only reason I want "Get to work" is because of the WW sim ray. I don't think that's worth the sale cost. I nagged Turbo about the sim ray. Opps.  Strip clubs... fun at first but they get to be a grind where you're running a business and not enjoying the shows.
  • Seasons.... needed for creating "Boink Day". Nah, never got much boinking out of that. Sort of like real life Valentines day, just disappointment.
  • I've not played High School years for this build yet. I remember my teen sim bent the principal over her desk more than a few times, which was fun. I think the play has changed since then tho'.
  • It didn't spot my Sims 3 (also Steam) and nuke it, so I'm happy about that.
  • Now I can gift Sim Points and "Gift" it to my old origin account so I can buy that roller coaster I've always wanted.

Seems to be enough to play.

Didn't get the foreign El Simador (whatever) pack with the gold plates and frogs. Thought I'd use the Money tree. Except I don't have the pack that has the money tree as a reward.  What pack is that?

I had to resort to Nisa's Wicked Perversions to use the ROM friendship potion to make friends with sims, ask them to join the household, and then sell them on the foreign market for around §30,000, more or less.
