How can you tell if a mod is LE, if it isn't in the file name?

I have a costume pack I want to use but I can't tell if it's LE! Is there a way you can tell from the mod files themselves? When I downloaded it, it was just called "mod version 3" and nothing else.

Load the plugin in xEdit and check the file header. Form 43 is LE, 44 SE.

A lot of converted mods are still 43 even if the rest is converted.

Just fire the mod up and if your game crashes you have the answer ??‍♂️

Never encountered that. Probably 'cause I barely use any LL mods?

I would say so, many mods can still be header 43 but still converted and perfectly usable ? It's something you very rarely come across on the nexus but very often here

I tried loading it, and when I equip any costume, it shows up on my character as a big red triangle with an " ! " inside it. I thought that meant that there were missing textures but the mod does have them. I think I'll just give up on this one. >.<

That symbol is for missing or bad meshes, not the textures. If the .nif’s are loose files, the headers will show the difference if you load them in NifSkope. User Version 2 is 83 is LE and 100 is SE
