Snowbreak: Containment Zone

All mods are currently broken as of the new patch today as far as I can tell. I have tried several different mods for several characters and even different areas (checked to see if they are just broken in dorm etc, doesn't matter), as soon as the game loads a modded file it pops up with a message saying "Game Resources Broken"

When I first got that message I changed the name of the ~Mods folder and tried opening the game again, and still got that message.  Removing the folder entirely allowed my game to work, makes me worry.

Is that means modding of this game is dead? I spent about $1000 in this game and now I feel disappoint‌ed.

Some mods still work, so they didn't block modding. You just have to do the tedious thing and try them out one by one. I'd imagine most of them are broken anyway so just wait it out I guess

NPC and enemies mods are working.

 

Only character mods broke after Nerida/Nita SSR update 

(my guess is probably new bones and animation are the cause)

so we need to modders update their mods to be compatible in this update changes.

i think they know you use mod. i sure to you some of dev also lurking around here too. but you right, let be respectful and not flood they server with useless crash log

Considering some mods still work including all of the available boss mods on Nexus (and technically Lament of Yehrus, the texture just doesn't load, which looks better to me tbf)  as well as some of the character skins, it leads me to believe that there may have been some changes or optimizations to the base models of the characters that cause crashes.

I'm not a modder, so I can't say with certainty, but it seems like it will likely just take some basic reworking of the mods to get them working again (possibly just re-dumping meshes and reworking mods to play nice with the updated ones). 
although it isn't likely to work for long, as a few things are going to need to be patched very soon; I'm a new player, and haven't completed the story mode yet, but after this patch ALL story progression has been unlocked meaning even though I haven't actually played the story, I can play any level that was previously locked waiting for me to complete the story mode up until that point. The company likely won't leave this unpatched for long, so any progress made between now and when they release a hotfix may all be for nothing, as it could break the mods they just fixed. So even if the modders want to get to work it's likely they'll wait til a hotfix patch has been released.

The way the mods broke, there is no "fixing" it; every single mod that doesn't work will have to be updated. It's not like the XXMI games where updates just change hashes that can easily be swapped and fixed.

Best you can do atm is go through every mod you have, manually add them one by one and relaunch the game to check if they still work, the ones that don't work are broken for good, gotta get a new version that the authors made with the new rigging in mind.

Fanny, Lyfe, Haru, Cherno, Marian, Siris Nita,  in the dormitory will stand at attention.
I don’t know about other characters😅
The reason why the model is standing upright is probably because of the old model. We can only wait for the author to fix it.

Yeah i agree. I just hope there's a way to manually update the mod yourself, coz not every creator will take time to update their mods.

我尝试了一下这个方法，角色mod是可以使用的，但是宿舍mod会导致模型的一部分或者动作丢失

I tried this method,the character mod worked,but dorm mod still broken,some part of model lost and didn't have motions.
