Hi i have just started playing Skyrim le after a couple of years playing fo4 and SSE ,i just wanted to know if i now have to use ZAZ 9.2 or do i have to use an older version.

Since ZAP is a framework (that is, a mod that other mod authors use to keep from having to make all these things themselves) it depends on which mod(s) you use that require ZAP. That being said, ZAP 8+ is still compatible with most everything.
