Nymra Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 hey, before diving into the scripts I just wanted to ask first: Is it possible with this update to apply tattoos, register them to fade tattoos but LOCK them for the player AND prevent them from beeing altered by external mods? Basically I want to apply tattoos that are fading away but that are not effected by Bathing in Skyrim and similar mods that advance tattoo age. Or would locking also prevent those mods from doing this? And can locked tattoos still fade? And if this is currently not possible, would it be possible to implement this? thank you

It's still pretty simplistic under the hood - I've actually not looked at how mods like Bathing in Skyrim do their integrations, but there's not actually a simple "advance age by X" function (and subsequently, no "protect from artificial aging" functionality either). One of the things I've been meaning to do is give this a slightly more flexible API to allow for things like that though, and I can certainly see the potential use cases - should be simple enough to implement.

I ve looked into the fading scripts like Spank That ass who do that on their own but I gave up half way through that 3000 pages master piece too much for me to comprehend, uugh But yeah, I think use cases there would be alot. Many mods have their own system like that in place already, but many are old and outdated. I basically want to add my own whip marks, scars and burn marks and have them not washed away by water, teehee. And reading the changelog for this the "locked" feature just caught my attention... (my desperate hopes lol :D)
