Zecadence Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 (edited) So I have the weirdest issue. I get this invisible creature called Pig Blame attacking me now and then. I have no idea where it comes from. No mod description ever mentions a Pig Blame and no google search doesn't say anything about it either, nor does a search of nexus or LoversLab. I'm, seriously stumped and maybe I will have to go through every single mod in editor to try and figure out where it comes from. If anyone has any guesses where I could begin to hunt for this, I'd appreciate it a lot! I suspect, of course, it might be more nasty critters, but I've not seen any pig creatures in its description either. Psalam Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 IF you can arrange to be in a situation in which you can identify the creature (that is, place your cursor on it) you should be able to identify the mod from which it comes. Once you are sure you're able to identify it, open the console (tilde key on and English keyboard) - this has the advantage of freezing time. But, it also allows you to click on, and thereby identify, the creature. You should see a list of information on both sides of the screen. On the right side, about 2/3 of the way down, there is an item to the effect of "last mod to modify this creature". Whatever mod is listed is, almost certainly, the source of the creature. Zecadence Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 I seemed to need the more informative console mod for that. Anyway, since the creature is invisible and probably lacks a mesh, it can't be clicked, and the console gives no info. When it is animated, the animation target is an empty string. (Except for when it's Pig Blame) But it tries to use troll animations, so I guess it's a troll, really. It kind of sounds like one. Anyway, can't figure it out. Turning off MNC caused its name to vanish, so I figure it's from MNC, and something is conflicting with it, or I am missing a dependency for it. I don't have any other creature mods afaik, so it's hard to hunt it, but well, I'll mess around with the load order later and see if I can't make something happen. Thanks for the help, it gave me the push to try and problemsolve it, even if I didn't get far. Yet.

In addition to invisible "Pig Blames" I get invisible "Tree Giants" And invisible "Deer Horses" Among other things, at this point, it might just make more sense to give up on MNC altogether for me and just accept it's not meant to be, but it was interesting trying to figure it out, even if nothing helps. I must have some kind of a conflict going on and I can not find it, if anyone ever gets the same issue and fixes it, let me know, but I've tried and failed Edit: I did notice someting in the ABC that might yet salvage this, but I'll see. Well, xEdit did solve the issue (I hope) But it was likely just a patch that was installed accidentally along with other patches. This one was lfor JackGa monsters, which I don't have installed, and the patch is just the original esp with some additions. So... Invisible JackGa monsters. I might be still missing anything else, since I also had an invisible dragon, but I only came across that once and haven't been able to replicate it, so fingers crossed. At least I think I'll eventually get there now. Unfortunately removing the mod means I can never enter where those monsters have already been spawned, (CTD) so, new start once again.
