Key press during a SL animation swaps PC into an NPC body.

If ":" (";" + Shift) is pressed during an animation...(the Shift seems to be the key), the floating camera reverts to a normal view and often the PC finds herself no longer in control of her own body but in control of an NPC: it can be the partner or a viewer. Only cell change, + or - reload fixes it.

IIRC I had this problem about 3 runs ago (i.e., over  a year ago) and solved it by accident as it was another mod. But this profile is totally different and I cannot remember which mod it was.

 

Anyone have a clue?

Drop a Modlist, maybe someone sees it right away.

I remember IFPV can do that too (often forgotten), hotkeys are in the IFPV configuration file (ini).

Although you can only change to the NPC view and not control it with IFPV.

Project Proteus?

It uses that key to shift bodies.

Had it happen to me and changed the key in Proteus mcm.

Thank You!  IIRC that WAS the one but as I am using the latest version the MCM has no user keys shown and as I use the wheel I forgot.

Correction! I was  wrong: the relevant key was NOT R2 like all the others but , as you posted, ": "AND ";" and it was right at the bottom of the MCM and I missed it as i assumed that ALL were R2.

 

Addendum using the Dragonborn voice packs totally screws up speech line selection. Not important? Well it is is 2 situations when the guy with whom you are trying to brawl suddenly starts taking his clothes off  (thanks to the SLEN lines taking off)  while selecting a particular city for a Thieves Guild job becomes well nigh impossible. unticking fails and you must remove the whole mod(s) (I had the female speech pack as well)

TBH The name made me think of the little guy in Lil Abner (joe btfx or close) who lived under an ever raining grey cloud and his posts exemplify it.

 

PS TBPH I find his posts amusing as they are a direct contradiction of the Tao verses in general, one of which always accompanies his posts, but yes, such people do wear you down.
