Leytra Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 So, my issue is simple: AAF makes the game unplayable by causing 100% consistent crashes on three screens. I know it is AAF, as the problem vanishes when I disable AAF, It goes like this: If I open the pause menu, and then mcm, the game will crash if AAF is installed (interestingly, if I have SavageCabbage animations installed, the game will crash instantly if I pause, not even getting to see the pause menu to select mcm) And the second one goes as follows: If I inspect a weapon to see what mods are on it, the game will crash Third is just as fast to crash, if I press the button for the perk screen. Other than this, my game is marvellously stable, however I am unable to use AAF and sex up my game, that's pretty much all the explanation I can give, if anyone knows what to look for to get extra info that will help you explain what I need to fix, tell me and I'll provide it.
dagobaking Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 There are some UI mods known to cause the crashes you describe.

But why would a potential UI mod issue make the crashes differ with regards to the animation packs? Either way for UI mods I only have DEF-UI, the full dialogue one, and a couple of the Fall UI addons installed, nothing fancy that would make sense to cause that I don't think. Like this is all I have that adds UI elements, I guess the energy shields mod adds a tiny widget too but surely it wouldn't be that? I remember going through the manual looking for all the known incompatibilites listings a while back too, but the only conflict I had was the zombie walkers which I removed and the rest seemed fine.

AAF adds its own little custom UI to the game... some UI mods dont like it... Try disabling those UI mods and see if you still get an issue. IF you still get an issue, i'd go back over the requirements for AAF.. sounds like you may be missing something Edited June 19, 2023 by doomcat9
