hi is this mod have broken jiggle physics or is it just me cuz whenever linkle goes into a ragdoll it seems to get stuck with the amount of physics done during that and then stays that way and looks crazy

example:

the more it happens the crazier it gets aswell

I'm having a major issue with the playable Purah mod where every time I equip the Hylian Trousers, the game goes into an infinite loading screen even when I have neither of the optionals selected and no other mods loaded. All other bottom armors I currently have don't have this issue, and the loading happens even when away from other NPCs. I'm running version 1.2.1 of the game and version 2.1.6 of TKMM

The main news is "There is no news" as of January and "it's coming 'Very Soon'" as of May.
Otherwise their Discord's general chat rotates between ranting about people asking about news and circle jerking the devs for working so hard.

I installed this but once I got to the sky island I'm like some weird half linkle, I only have this and the linkle mod installed so I'm not sure what happened, Is this a known issue with a fix?

im thinking the Tears of Ecstasy mod is vaporwave at this point. why would you announce the mod is pretty much finished only to not say a thing about it half a year later? i'll tell you why, to scam his supporters for as much as he can before they snap at him. he knows he's gonna lose his passive income after the mod releases. it is what it is.

Extra amusing is how they talked big about how much better they were than the safe for work playable zelda modders that quit due to dmca strikes. At least those people actually released something. You can play most of the game with shattered prophecy. What did these people release? Nothing, not even the outfits they showed off. They talked big about how they would turn the whole game into an npc and creature rape simulator, then dipped. Pathetic losers, both the devs and people that gave them money.

Because they announced this like, several years ago and pretty much have nothing to  show for it, as simple as that.

 

I'm of two minds about this: Modding is hard. I know that and I think a lot of people here know that. It's understandable why they would be reluctant to talk about this when one Zelda mod got DMCA'd to oblivion(Why the big N didn't go after Linkle or SoH, I can't say.) It's hard enough to create a mod for an Unreal engine game, modding a Switch game like this, made by a company who uses its own engine, must be a herculean effort!

 

That being said... I can't fault anyone for being mad about this. People have been waiting ages for something like this mod and these guys promised that they would do it. And then they... just don't talk much beyond saying "we're working on it!"

 

According to their discord, they don't want to because they fear the Big N would show up(Even though it's a private discord and Loverslab here is pretty underground. The idea of them DMCA'ing this is unlikely). However, when you announce something like this, people are going to be anticipating this... and then are going to get mad when it doesn't come out in any reasonable time. Or if nobody shows anything for it, not even a second trailer.

 

And I get it!  They are working on something difficult, they all have lives, but that's the problem with something this ambitious: Scope creep. They don't just want a nude Zelda mod, they want a sex mod, with monster rape and the works! And...

 

Well, personally I don't really care about that. I would just stick with the nude Zelda and sexy armors, thanks. 

 

At that point, I feel they would've been fine just releasing this type of stuff in batches as opposed to all in once. But they're not doing that.

 

I'm just going to stick to the Linkle mod. Much less scope even if the original person doing it vanished...

i get being disappointed but i dont really know why any action would be required unless you think you actually got scammed out of your money. a group of people online saying they're going to do something and then not doing it because they got over their skis happens every day. if people think its a scam, then its weird to get mad at the people who got scammed and start calling them names or whatever. the reaction just seems over the top to me

 

im a linkle mod user as well though so i guess i should just stay out of it

The situation with the playable Zelda mods on gamebanana is that they got DMCA'd right before Echoes of Wisdom and the announcement of Age of Imprisonment. It is obvious that Nintendo saw playable Zelda mods as "competition" for their actual games coming out that allow you to play as Zelda. The modders are total pussies though, because they have since ceased taking playable Zelda content down after those games have been out for a year. None of the content has been striked again on reuploads. There's also rumors the person who struck them initally wasn't even actually connected to Nintendo at all and simply took advantage of the timing. 

 

And I agree. The Shattered Prophecy/Zelda's Ballad people the Studio Shigeki guy here talked shit about at least actually released playable content and their finished outfit/model/animation/cutscene replacements to everyone before splitting up and dipping. Same with the Linkle people. They vanished and a few pieces of armor/thumbnails are unfinished, but you can still play the entire game as Linkle or Zelda with these mods. Everyone can freely get them from Google Drive/Discord/Gamebanana. That is considerably more than what the Studio Shigeki people have provided while also giving up and vanishing. All while talking big game.

 

They could have easily given out the Zelda model replacement and sexy outfits they made all those tiktok/youtube shorts about. And the SFW Link replacement mods demonstrate that those work completely fine by themselves. They have zero reason to not release the Zelda and outfit model replacements, outside of gatekeeping it for their "vision".  Which is bullshit. If you pay them money for their Discord and you don't even get the simple Link and outfit replacement files for TKMM that literally every other BotW/TotK modding group happily shares. People are starting and then releasing mods that let you play BotW/TotK as the champions or sages in the time these people have been sitting on their version of Zelda for "the final release". I wouldn't be surprised if every character has their own finished SFW mod before this ever comes out. 

 

And as you say, it's all because of scope creep. They INSIST on enforcing the "our vision" on all to the point of being insulted by asks for just the sexy Zelda content without the extreme fetishes, and on finishing their elaborate monster and npc rape mechanics with full voice-acting that the game was not even coded to support. "You guys just don't understand, this game doesn't want to be modded!" and the shit they're trying to do is turn a Nintendo game with all of Nintendo's quirky file nonsense and compression, parts of code we can't even fully decipher or crack into, that wants to crash inside emulators half the time, into a elaborate rape sim instead of keeping it fucking simple. Most normal hetero people just want to see women naked and aren't even into the insane paraphilias for animals and monsters these troons are. Most people would have been fine with the masturbation sleep they finished being the only gooner mechanic. I don't particularly find the thought of Zelda fucking a dog hot, because I'm not a retard that looks at dogs in a sexual light. Why they decided on monster sex instead of lesbian sex with purah or some other far more normal shit that would also be easier to create, I don't have the mental illness they clearly have to understand. No wonder it got too hard, they made it hard on themselves on purpose because they just HAD to make the crazy shit and be autistic about it.
